Sorry but dev’s you suck I geniuenly just had to sit and listen to Moira taking the moral high ground with her dad. You know after she got a bunch of her people killed and joined the servants of Ragnaros and Deathwing. But yeah cool tell us how Magni’s a bad dad and had to learn and moira is a perfect being… Jesus christ who approved that story beat, stop ham fisting your own weird daddy issues into the plot.
I’m not saying Chris Metzen is going to save everything but TWW was already being worked on when he came back to Blizzard so a lot of what you’ve seen in the story is pre him returning.
I don’t know, I did tear up on her stay a while and listen. Her and her Dad will have their issues, but they need to put it aside for Dagran. I think he will be a great leader in his future. Magni is teaching him skills to fight and adventure, Moira isn’t a half bad diplomat in this Xpac, and he did kill her lover.
Then again I’ve always had a disruptive family so having them slowly put their differences aside warms my heart.
But it was a entirely one sided telling off, Moira literally a traitor to her people and involved in a plot to murder her dad and uncle, killed off a bunch of her own guards to fake her death, you know an overall colossal ###hole. And I have to sit there and listen to her tell Magni, you did so much I can’t forgive you for, and he says I know, no push back no reflection, just Moira is a perfect snowflake screw you dad, I feel I can guess the hair colour of the writer for this.
What was it that Magni did that was so bad, o yeah train his daughter how to fight and protect herself. What a massive piece of #### he is aye. Oppose the idea of her taking up with a servant of Ragnaros, man what a truly horrific father.
Sometimes fathers want to be able to love their daughters instead of insisting they’re right. His beef with Azeroth was he wasn’t able to feel warmth from his kin. In the end, things turned out all right and the grandson is a scholarly type being taught to fight and adventure, seeing diplomacy first hand, and meeting new people with differing viewpoints.
Maybe I’m just a softy but I think Magni just missed being able to hug his daughter.
I don’t know where you’re pulling that from because that’s not even close to whats said in the dialogue, it’s just Moira being holier than thou and Magni acting as if she’s right and yet again another old character being treated like a complete clown.
The intro when you go into Sithilus and the heart of Azeroth. Magni says he doesn’t even want to try with Azeroth because she stopped speaking to him and he couldn’t feel the warmth of his kin.
Magni just wants to be a father again. He wants to be a Grandad. Pushing Moira away will not accomplish either of those.
He’s showing humility instead of being angry.
There’s showing humility and then there’s being a push over.
There’s being right and pushing away what’s left of your immediate family.
he’s just there because people love him and it will make people feel as if “wow is saved!1!11”
truth is most people love TWW story so far and everything about the game and as you said he isn’t even involved much with it
some parts of wow are just forever tainted and ruined by 'murican “culture” (being brainwashed) and Chris Metzen can never save that because Blizzard has shown to be keen on following and pushing bs in wow since the whole scandal thing happened
Not to burst your bubble, or maybe I am, but there’s an opposing thread now saying Magni should be thrown in the lava…

While that is true, Metzen himself has said he is changed and he lets his team freedom to “express” themselves and their own ideas, so its likely that he has no saying in the small quests, only in the overall main story.

Even if he wanted to step in, hes nobody really. This is all coming from waaaay above Metzen, and above the board of directors. This comes from the major shareholders who we all knownwho they are. Thats why this is happening to all games and tv content. Metzen cant do s*** about it sadly
I liked the touch of Ghostbusters with him busting out of his hardened shell, I half expected her to say … ’ OK he’s a dog '. That’s a Ghostbusters line, but you get the drift. It was obious sadly what was going to happen. er spoiler.
I really do think you are reading too much into stuff. All together ’ Now I see fire, Inside the mountain '… ‘What brings you onto the mountain?’ Classic. You gotta love 'em.
its World of Wokecraft now
That is actually how I felt being forced to sit through that monologue…
Despite it being in my opinion terribly written it also felt kinda… punishing(?) to listen to (which is something that I’ve felt to be more and more persistent with each new installment like shadowlands, dragonflight etc)
so, I just hit ctrl+s and waited it out.
Haven’t gotten into the main story yet.
hes spent 10-15 years as a statue… hes picking his battles.
Don’t get me wrong I can understand him saying he’s got alot of learn he’s got things he could have done better. But at the same time, Moira really really needs to get checked. All she does is lord it around like she’s not a colossal piece of ####.
Like if Moira, said something along the lines of;
When you were stone I realised, what I had done, all those years I wasn’t truly angry at you, it was myself I was angry at. I’ve done things, things that cannot be forgiven.
Magni then says something along the lines of; We’ve both got alot to learn and make up for. We can do that, together.
Then she has her line about Dagran, can be better than them, be the leader they both could/should have been.
I’m not saying that’s perfect but at the very least it wouldn’t make people want to unsubscribe listening to a horrible person grandstand.
Moira has every valid reason to be annoyed with magni. His attempted rescue of her killed her husband who she genuinely cared about. If you think this is gender related you don’t understand the story. She has every right to hate magni and have issues
DEI
Again and as usual
Its only in a crazy dimension that children judge and try to teach morals things to their parents
There’s that overused anagram again… if I had a dollar for every time I heard “DEI” on these forums I’d be sipping martinis by the pool side instead of playing WoW.
