Can you fix covenants/legendaries not working in m+?

It’s ridiculous that you disabled them in the world/non-SL content if you can’t make them work properly in m+.

NF Death and Decay yesterday started working mid dungeon

Mine are working consistently. Must be a selective problem, i.e. some of them work and some of them do not.

Please note that, at least as of last patch, equipping Unity into a different slot from where it already is using the gear set manager would cause it to not work. Don’t know if that’s been fixed.

Probably a good idea if everyone could write out which ones don’t work so Blizz can see them here and fix them.

They should’ve deactivated covenants/legendaries (all SL-related stuff) with prepatch, change my mind.

No, they’re straight up not working.

Niya doesn’t activate when trying to play moonkin.

Dreamweaver doesn’t activate when trying to play my mage either and I can’t get the unity legendary to work no matter what so I’m cancelling my ability constantly because I can’t move with it.

Flash concentration doesn’t work on my priest nor does the unity legendary.

ALL of my tested characters are missing stamina in the non-SL dungeons which means the renown stamina from covenants is inactive.

They should just have left them active everywhere until DF if they’re unable to fix it quickly. Had a +22 key get ruined because nobody in the party had their soulbinds active, 3x fae who didn’t get pod triggers and just instantly died instead. Why weren’t they active? Just blizzard things.

They all worked for me including conduits and legendaries and all the rest of it. In Iron Docks specifically.

And there’s nothing you can do or say to convince me that they don’t - I’m not going to deny your subjective experience so maybe something is wrong with your characters or maybe select dungeons I didn’t do, but I am definitely going to deny that they don’t work at all ever because I saw real-time evidence that they do.

Having said that… yeah, they should probably have left them active everywhere until prepatch. Sure, I’ll buy that.

My experience?

Watch streams. It’s happening to everyone.

I just told you there’s nothing you can say or do that will convince me that they don’t. (at least for me) I was blasting my Sun King’s Blessing in Iron Docks +17 yesterday and 2 chested it. End of story.

Trumpism at display right there. Denying reality.

“HURR, THEY WORK FINE”.

No stacks when convoking.

So if you run out at the start of m+ and run back in, they activate. I was wondering why streamers were doing that and now I found out why. Seriously, you shouldn’t have to run out of the dungeon to activate your soulbinds and stuff.

I don’t want to change your mind because you are 100% correct :joy:

It was an incredibly dumb decision to not deactivate all SL borrowed shi*.

Works perfectly when YOU ACTIVATE THE M+, not before.

Nope.

Most likely a conflict of selected talents. Some talents disable conduits/legendaries. Prime offenders being covenant abilities that you can select in the tree that will overwrite your covenant ability and render unity useless.

There’s none that conflict with flash concentration nor unity for holy priests. It works just fine in tazavesh.

Then i take it its Blizzard spaghetti code aka “but this is an old dungeon!!1!1!11!”

I’m not denying that there might be spaghetticode like Camoohflage also noted, or that some don’t work some of the time or even completely for some players. That’s what I wrote and I encouraged others to bring forth their examples.

But I’m also telling you that saying they all don’t work as a blanket statement is wrong because they work for me - and now you have to gall to tell me that I don’t know how to look at my own buffs?!

And now you’re sending me video evidence from the same people who said resilience was bugged on Classic when it wasn’t. Great, thanks.

Just because I like you so much I decided to go into a +19 Junkyard with my broken UI (and therefore occasional confusion and just staring, excuse me… >_> ) and just show you:

You can see Infernal Cascade all the time so Conduits are working. You can see Field of Blossoms at 0:25 so soulbinds are working. I’m using SKB so legendaries are working.

This kind of ridiculous stubbornness of contradicting what other people see with no solid evidence is really annoying. I used to do it myself at one point, it’s not a nice thing to do, I got told off, now I’ve stopped, and now I’m telling you. Got it?

EDIT: Ugh, edited the movement on shifting power out. It comes like 10 seconds after the video ends. It works though. Do you trust me now?

EDIT2:

Lol what? Didn’t even know that was a thing.

MAYBE THAT’S BECAUSE THEY WORK FINE FOR ME!

Don’t work for me.

Didn’t work for anyone in a group I tried to do keys with earlier.

Tried telling another group we need to go out after the key start after I found out you can counteract it but neither did and then they acted surprised when their covenant or legendary stuff didn’t work.

I could literally start recording before even going there because I knew it wouldn’t work.

You can also see the covenant is not active on my low hp compared to in SL, I’m missing the renown stamina.

I could also leave the key, reset it and start it again and it still wouldn’t work:

Because it’s bugged. Not “Some of the time”, it’s 100% reproducable.

Did you not watch my video? It’s obviously not 100% reproducable. I saw the first stream you linked me where she was wondering why more people weren’t talking about it and that maybe it’s because they weren’t noticing.

AS IF lmao. It just works for us!

I’m sorry that it’s bugged for you and I encourage you to share that experience and ask Blizzard to get it fixed, but to deny that there’s something more going on than the effect being marked legacy is not correct and you now have proof.

Yet I can do it over and over. If I don’t walk outside after key starts and then in again, covenants and legendaries are inactive. Every time. Every character.

Then there’s something about your character that makes it not work which does not apply to my character.

Which is what I said.

There are a few things that could be in this case - not the same class for example. Also not the same dungeon, mine were Iron Docks and Junkyard.

The difference here, however, is more subtle and may lead to the root cause. Because my mage is using the same legendaries and is also Dreamweaver.

See, if we could’ve had a conversation like this from the start it would’ve been a lot more constructive, wouldn’t it?
