Is it the same as BFA that you can meta before the start of the key?
I have seen some say yes and some say no.

just meta not during timer, but before key is put. You waste the countdown in meta, but it is what it is
Yes this works. Get someone to do /pull 10 and hit meta before the last second. It will reset cd and you’ll have a few seconds of meta for the first pull

How would you possibly eyebeam twice before the key? Unless you expect every group to pull the first pack for you?
You pick demonic.
Eybeam puts you into 6 sec of Meta.
You now Meta which resets the eyebeam CD and adds duration to meta.
You eyebeam again for another 6 sec Meta.
Key starts you have ~30 sec of meta and 15ish seconds CD on eye beam.
Second eyebeam probably not worth if you have a pull right at the start

So you basically earn nothing? As solo pulling mobs you will die. The 6 sec you get from eye beam will be removed by the time key is put in

That is alot of effort for no gain, If it’s your key or tanks key as you are dead going in alone the 6 sec you got is gone before you reach the m+ stone to start
Also all dungs have big packs at start so the 2x eye beam is a no go as you will want one for first pull
Every dungeon has some useless mobs at the entrance or in front of the dungeon. It is doable without putting in hyper conplex strategies.
I edited my post. You are correct second eyebeam only maybe in plaguefall since you have some distance to travel
And while everybody is summoned or rdy check i fill my fury. Its not that hard, nor will it be the difference between you time or not time the key.
Its more like first trash pull you can go BOOM for free.
You can take the Fury talent for Immo Aura, which allows you to EB > Meta > EB
I don’t know if Fury carries over, you could hit something outside, come inside and EB.
You never want to double eyebeam, the eyebeam for first pack is far more valuable than 6sec in meta, So at best you do one eyebeam but you don’t really earn anything as you can’t time that too well with key timer. If you were to eyebeam at 4sec then instant meta at 1sec you have already lost the entire extra duration from that eyebeam.
would also not pick a talent simply to get in an eyebeam before timer. No one uses the fury talent
There is a reason no one does this on pull
