Can you open gate to Carapace/N'zoth without 10/12?

I mean after you kill 10/12, and then it resets the next week can you open the gate just by finishing one wing? This is what someone said in-game.

You are probably referring to the quests here!

Completing the quest, allows you to basically skip some of the boss encounters there.

Once you get to Carapace, Wrathion will give you a quest there, which orders you to kill Vexiona, Ra-Den and Il’gynoth 4 times. Once you complete the quest and turn it in, you can then just defeat Wrathion and skip straight to Carapace. Just be mindful, that each difficulty has its own quest, meaning that you can’t for example complete the HC quest and then skip in Mythic.
