Despite I have set my dungeon difficulty to Mythic and completed many Shadowlands dungeons, I cannot attend the Mythic dungeons. What should I do to attend them?
You need to form a group for it manually, enter the dungeon manually and complete it (in dungeon group finder these are usually named as “m0” groups).
But you can’t enter mythics via random dungeon finder (it caps at heroic level).

Is a Mythic Keystone absolutely necessary?
Depends what you want to achieve and what is your goal. M+ keystones gives better gear, but they are harder. Much harder than simple mythic0.
