I am currently leveling through Hallowfall.
I am on the campaign quests “Crossroads of Twilight” and “The Shadow Rising” that you get in the town of Mereldar, but when I go the area of the map where these quests take place, all the mobs part of the quests gets phased out so I can not complete these quests, meaning I can not continue my main story campaign.
I have tried to abandon every Hallowfall quest I had in my quest log.
I have also tried to complete nearby(and even on the other side of the map) quest chains to see if that would put me in the right phase to complete these quests - but nothing works!
I then realized that because it’s Saturday, the fishing derby is in full swing in the zone and near where these quests take place, and I think this is what is phasing me! I do not want to complete the fishing derby quest to see if that quest is causing me this issue, but I hope Blizzard looks into this and fixes it so it doesn’t happen to more people every Saturday.
If anyone else knows what is phasing me if it isn’t the fishing derby, please let me know.
It really sucks I will have to wait until tomorrow to continue the campaign.
Same issue. I completed the area on mage yesterday and it was fine. Came back today in party with someone who was doing the campaign for the 1st time. She went in first and mobs were all there, but as soon as i entered the area, we showed as out of phase and I couldn’t see any mobs. She only came back into phase once she’d done The Shadow Rising and Crossroads of Twilight, suggesting the game thought my character had done them already too. We can’t synch, i’ve abandoned/retaken quests/relogged but no change.
I had also done these quests on another character about 2 days ago, but that character isn’t max level yet. I wonder why the games treats you differently if you have done these on another character vs doing them for the first time. I would understand if it was a max level thing or if you had unlocked world quests(which I haven’t).
Update:
It is now Sunday, and the fishing derby is over - but I’m still getting phased.
This sucks.
Found a workaround but it requires getting a char to 80. You can choose Asz-Kahet as a new zone from the mission map and pick up the campaign there on the character that can’t finish Hallowfall. Not great, but at least you can keep going until the bug is fixed
When I logged in today after having my sleep, I could finally complete these quests. I don’t know if me logging off for several hours fixed it or if Blizzard applied a hotfix, but I can now continue the campaign story.
I’m just hoping I won’t have this issue on more characters in the future.
i cannot finish the Sojourner of hallowfall achievement because Memories of the sky doesnt give me a follow up quest after finishing the first 2 quests the questgiver gave me earlier.
i also had trouble on my main finishing Striking steel on on the Sojourner of hallowfall list which i could eventually finish on my alt.
