Cannot install battle.net

Hello,

I was trying to login battlenet today and I cannot enter WoW (it says it is awaiting another update to be done and then it can update). I saw that it was trying to update Bnet and I waited for like 10 minutes and it was stuck at 0%.

I uninstalled battlenet and downloaded the setup again and now it is not installing the bnet app. It is frozen on Updating Blizzard agent for like 20 minutes at this point.

I have tried to reset the router (I am connected on LAN cable, 500 mbps internet so I do not think it is an internet issue).

Thank you for your time and have a great day,

Hi KalĂnar,

Can you work through all the steps Here and see if these help at all?

I have the same problem, also my friend has it. We were offline for 2months, resubbed and wow didn’t want to update, then i tried reinstalling it, but it got stuck, tried all different methods from previous threads, nothing worked.

I am also having the same issue. It gets stuck about 20% of the way through the download. Have deleted and retried many times.

Having the same issue, and from the installation logs it appears to be a connection to Blizzard servers problem. The client is unable to reach the servers and then time-outs.

Same here, bought brand new PC and cant install the battle net app. Also tried every thing in manual but nothing seems to work

These steps do nothing. There must be an issue your end.

Same issues here ! I came back from holidays and the launcher couldn’t update at all so I remove it and trying to install it again and guess what? ? I cant install battle.net it stuck on 0%

Me to, I’ve tried uninstalling battle.net making sure to also delete the extra files in different places and it fails to reinstall.

This is a sample of a battle.net log.

Same here :frowning:

Hello,

As an update, after around 50 minutes of waiting, the progress bar jumped like 10%. :))

So probably it connects for a few seconds then it freezes again.

Same issue as everyone else.
I keep both games I own (wow and diablo3) set to only update if I tell it to, so its not that.

Part of me is glad its not just me and my hardware. Part of me is pissed because it made me think I got beta, but that its stalling my machine. Part of me thinks maybe, you should have spent some of that bonus the bigwigs get, on making sure your hardware and sysAdmins are working at peak capacity.

swears in firefly and goes back to catching bugs and fish on animal crossing switch

So what is going on ? obvious there is something wrong from Blizzard launcher and we don’t even have a fix after of 5 hours ? We are trying to connect and we cant play a game we are paying monthly and we don’t deserve an answer if they are trying to fix the issue?

Similar issue here with updater, mine does update but red bar sticks at “finalizing” tried multiple times all day

Having the same issue here as well, it seems all blizzard downloads/updates are running at a snails pace :frowning: There are forum topics on the US forums as well about the battle.net desktop app running as slow as dial-up :frowning:

Hopefully it gets fixed soon as currently any sort of download/update is looking like a non-starter !

Another update:

After 1 hour the Updating Blizzard agent went through and now it is in the installation box at 90% for 1 hour. So 2 hours and the blizzard launcher is still not installed.

Curious if the same thing happens with the game. :))

Same here.

I had to reinstall Mac OSX for a different reason yesterday. Today, when I try to reinstall Battle.net and WoW, it got stuck on “Updating Battle.net” around 20-35%. It is not moving for 4 hours now. I did everything you suggested in that post. Mine is a fresh Mac Os X installation. I have no connection issues on my device. So, I am pretty sure that it is on your side.
