Cannot Login to Client

Battle.Net app logs on fine.
Website logs on fine.
Companion app logs in fine.
WoW loads, gets stuck on ‘Logging into Game Servers’, quits to login screen, disconnects Battle.net app, then will not accept correct details (authetificator is prompted, but no push sent to mobile. Manual entry used instead, not accepted - results in WOW 5900314)

After two tickets filed (with absolutely no response, not even an automated ‘thank you for submitting a ticket’), and following EVERY. SINGLE. DOCUMENTATION available and, as such, ive

Reset router
Reinstalled completely
Flushed cache
Trace route
MTR
Done a stuck character request
Cleared DCHP
Unplugged everything except Mac with WoW
Disabled Virus Killer, FIrewall, and any other program that uses internet while running.
Plus everything else in each document. Seriously, I’ve been over them several times

NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING works.

From the Connection.log in warcraft, I can see the handshake for BNet takes place, but the connection is changed, at the point WoW goes back to login screen.

From an engineering standpoint, it seems that the World of Warcraft executable just is denied access to the Game Servers, as it cn find the realm lists etc.

For a note, I have done nothing and no updates were scheduled on any software. It just was fine for ages, then poof, no longer allowed to access game servers.

I had expected at least a ‘Sorry, we cant help you but please keep paying us money for a product you cant use post’ from a Blizzard rep, but as usual, us peons who pay their wages simply are not important enough to be provided with a service we pay for.

Dont want to quit, tbh, I enjoy playing wow, but if I cant resolve this, I have no choice.

A response from a blue would be nice, but I have no faith in the support team.

Also. Don’t just direct me to here https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/000112213 - i’ve followed that many times. It never works

**** UPDATE

Replying to this, due to the lax response.

Finally got an answer to a ticket, with standard repetition of documentation asking me to check my connection, which obviously, I had mentioned in the post.

The issue was IPv6. I didnt find this out with ‘support’ help, more scouring the net for days trying to find an answer, and clicking on everything till randomly stumbling on it.

Make sure if you experience the above, you try it with ‘Enable IPv6 where available’ in Settings->Network.

Failing that, you can enable it in Config.wtf, in the WOW installation directory WTF, by adding SET useIPv6 “1” at the end, but be warned, it will rewrite the file if you apply any changes in game settings.

HOWEVER

Its not entirely stable, because Blizzard, with their several million subscriptions of 9.99 per month bringing in a huge revenue, cant seem to upgrade their login servers to handle a technology that is almost a decade old, so random disconnects will then either force you to alt-4, or tab quit on a mac, or even worse, completly lock out your character in a limbo where when it is loaded, it immediatly disconnects and freezes on loading screen, forcing an ‘unstuck’ request (which doesnt work)

But of course, according to Blizzard, there is no problem at all, and its all our fault for having the audacity to pay for a service they cant provide. Their ‘customer service’ is abysmal, with cookie-cutter responses despite being told multiple times that those steps had been tried.

YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH YOUR IPV6, BLIZZARD. FFS google it. once I found out, there are quite a few posts about it.

I have this issue with nothing else, just the WOW client. There are no firewalls, ip addresses being blocked, conflicting programs, virus killers etc. It is YOUR software, which I pay to use.

You have been given MTR, Traceroutes, system specs etc, and the best advice I got was ‘check your connection’.

Pathetic.
