Cannot Open Support From In-Game

unfortunately, hasn’t helped - but thank you for the guide!

you didn’t ąņšwéř 𝕒𝕟𝕪𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕀 𝕕𝕚𝕕 𝕒𝕤𝕜 𝕓𝕖𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕖…
did full clean reinstall of battle-net app ? deleted cache+config folder/content ?

Hi, do you still have the issue ?

can you answer this:
which country ? which ISP ?
do you use VPN ?
Does this website load in your web browser eu.support.blizzard.com ?

nothing in your message helped me

same issue, works on a US account, doesn’t work on EU

I’m not using VPN, I cleaned all the cache folder in data and retail folders, in app data - local and roaming folders, in programdata folder, fully reinstalled Battle net app - nothing helps.

If Blizzard was blocked on my firewall/ISP side - I wouldn’t been able to play it at all. I added both WoW folder/exe and Battle net folder to allow everything both inbound and outbound in my Windows firewall/Defender. And a player above added the whole WoW/Battle net folder to Firewall/Defender whitelist - it didn’t help either.

Checked on 3 of my chars - not working, just forever spins/loads, that’s all.

Typical Blizzard, answered in a topic, blamed everything except its services. Blizzard, you have to realize, we are all different people with the same problem here. Blaming massive issues on a network problem on users’ side - is simply lying. It’s not our ISP issue, we all having different ISPs here from different countries (even continents), we have different network settings/devices, and it doesn’t work for ALL of us. Not 1-2-3 people. It’s a MASSIVE problem.

I play on EU realms from the U.S., another continent. Other people, most of them, play from EU - still doesn’t work, completely different settings. So, if we turn on a bit of a simple school logic, then it turns out it’s not ours/users’ issues, but Blizzard issue.

Same with constant login/authentications issues, dungeon/open world/pvp lags. These are all massive network issues. But on a Blizzard’s side.

I’m not blaming Blizzard for outages, but for these long-going issues - I do.

Well because it is not issue for everyone, I am from EU, and support website does load for me from WoW.

Does this website load in your web browser eu.support.blizzard.com ? still no answer to this

this command line will change your DNS server to all of your network connections:
WinKey + X => pick PowerShell (Admin) => write/copy/paste Set-DnsClientServerAddress -InterfaceAlias * -ServerAddresses 1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8 then enter => then write/copy/paste ipconfig /flushdns then enter

restart your modem/+router, fully disconnect from electricity for +30sec

try to disable all your anti-malware/anti-virus/firewall , or add to exception World of Warcraft\_retail_\Utils\BlizzardBrowser.exe

try open WoW as admin
close your Battle-net app from taskbar, then you can right click (or shift+right click) Battle-net app and choose “Run as Administrator”
or do this with World of Warcraft\_retail_\Wow.exe , after you need to manually login

try VPN with different countries, so you change your route, there was a issue for spanish people , because Blizzard didn’t report issues to their service providers, and they needed to use VPN to fix that

If Blizzard was blocked on my firewall/ISP side - I wouldn’t been able to play it at all.

yea, NO, you Dunning–Kruger effect… just because your game connection works, doesn’t mean your other service will work
there are multiple services you connect: payment, login, game, chat, support, voice, etc
and to be clear you have issue with World of Warcraft\_retail_\Utils\BlizzardBrowser.exe
example: few years ago, there was a bug, when you opened contact list in WoW, it wouldn’t show you your BattleTag contacts, after deleting content cache it started to show , so deleting World of Warcraft\_retail_\Cache + World of Warcraft\Data\config could help. or rarely sometimes the chat service just disconnects when you play WoW

Blizzard have a lot of issues, just this one is semi-their(like it is 70-90% on their side)
Microsoft cares nowadays only for AI, and they force every company they own to use AI
gamers are second/third/fourth second class citizens to them (main priority are share holders), we as Europeans are 3. in their gaming priority (USA=>Asia=>EU, for example European Union laws VS china with bilion population, which would you prefer for money ?) So yea, they actually don’t care about EU issues, even this forum closes after 30days, while in USA version doesn’t …
and with that on mind, now they do all of this stuff : housing, moving people on classic servers to the mega server(this look as resource heavy task, with all the issues with classic now), aplha, changes to addons; so EU issues are ther last priority

and as always they listen to only one thing : MONEY
so unsubscribe and stop using their products is the only way they actually listen

Beware! We have a new MVP here (better than at least 70-90% of Blizzard employees, actually helped) — Archon. No sarcasm, thank you! 2 of your solutions worked (but only together. Blizzard should pay you another salary for helping. I was hear as a testing rat (but I don’t mind, that’s my life). Only these 2 below solutions worked:
1. Change DNS (doesn’t work if no VPN with “compatible country”
2. Turn on VPN (only “compatible” countries work+ it doesn’t work if no 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 DNS set)

So, Canada VPN is not working for me, even with your suggested DNS. Andorra VPN — worked. Turkey VPN — worked.

I don’t wanna spend the whole night figuring another VPN countries that work, w/e.
The fixes were found!
Here is the reason of the problem from Archon:

“try VPN with different countries, so you change your route, there was a issue for spanish people , because Blizzard didn’t report issues to their service providers, and they needed to use VPN to fix that”

Blizzard didn’t report network changes to anyone/appropriate ISPs.

We have to be networking engineers to fix game issues. Sweet. But thank you for the knowledge, it’s beneficial for me. But regular gamers shouldn’t know/do/troubleshoot all of that. IMHO.

only way how to fix this bug of 1-3years:
is to mass bug report “I need to use VPN/tunneling to fix issues with your service/server providers”
and unsub with reason “I need to use VPN/tunneling to fix lag, because of buggy server route, and for non-functioning in-game support”

actuall issue is that service provider of servers and communication have some bugs or issues, and Blizzard is who should report to them to fix it

This is still an issue for me. Support doesn’t open in-game. Just a black screen with the loading animation. It used to work for me, just over the last month or two it doesn’t work anymore.
I have tried everything the CS rep suggested but it didn’t work.

i also have the wheel of death on one of my machines (arm laptop) while trying to open the support window.
NOT on the x64 desktop.
I also can´t buy transfers or anything else within the store, due to the wheel of death.
I assume, they don´t want my money and won´t preorder midnight :person_shrugging:
