Cannot Open Support From In-Game

Hello, for several weeks now I have been unable to open the Support window/page from in-game. I cannot use it if I need to report a bug or use one of the services listed there. It just opens a black window and shows the loading sign and stays like that forever. I went afk for 10 minutes and still it was loading. I tried opening the Support tab from an account linked to the US/NA and it worked but from my EU account it is not opening at all. How can I fix this?

Hey there Coffeemug!

What you described is often caused by security software (Antivirus, firewall and similar, including any related OS integrated features) blocking access to certain network resources.

Best option to troubleshoot this possibility would be to setup exceptions in said software to make sure Blizzard games and applications are allowed unrestricted network access :slight_smile:

Hello, thank you for replying. But, like I said, I can do it from my WoW 1 (US) account and not WoW 1 (EU) (same PC). And I could use the Support feature always, just been this way for around 8 weeks. I will look into the restrictions but I do not think it is that, else it’d block it for both EU as well as US.

EU and US clients are actually using different network resources, the fact that you have no issues on one side while the other doesn’t work is actually pointing even more towards some sort of network restriction :slight_smile:

Again can’t be 100% sure until this possibility is troubleshoot, but definitely worth looking into it! :blue_heart:

Hello, again. I checked and under “firewall and network protection” - “allow an app through the firewall” Warcraft has both public and private selected. Do I need to do something else? I do not have an antivirus.

I am assuming you are on a Windows system, in which case the best option would probably be to add the entire World of Warcraft folder or at least the executable files you can find in there (Wow.exe, BlizzardError.exe, BlizzardBrowser.exe - in the UTILS folder) to the exclusion list of Windows Defender on top of making sure they are allowed in the firewall rules.

We do not have a step by step guide for this, but I believe the exclusion list options are available under Virus & Threats rather than in the network section.

Hello, thank you for doing your best to help me out. I did what you asked. Found all the .exe files in warcraft folder and gave them permissions plus added the whole warcraft folder in the exclusion list under threat protection. Still the same issue. Can access support from in-game in US but not EU.

I have same issue on EU server , after ticket for other ingame problem GM send me to report bug in ingame customer suppert but its just not loading for me ingame , same issues as reported above , i added WoW to exclusion list but this loading bug not fixed

The problem is still there for me. Support Page open in-game for US account not EU account.

Support isn’t working at all for me on EU, not in game, neither on the website. It just says an error occured on Blizzard’s end.

I needed to use the un-stuck feature… It took forever to load… It worked in the end but boy it took ages to load each page… Then I accidently closed it down and had to wait forver to load it back up again…

I tried to open Support and waited for 10 minutes (with a timer) and it still had the loading thing going round-and-round.

Same there, after opening ingame Customer support it does open black blank page.

support button doesn’t work in game
When I press ESC in game - it doesn’t work, just endlessly loads
It doesn’t work on EU account, but on my US trial account it works…

Same with me, works on my US account no problem. This issue started a few months ago, I made a thread as well but it hasn’t been resolved.

I also created a ticket with EU Blizzard.
Disabling all addon hasn’t helped. Clearing Cache folder - hasn’t helped.
And EU said just bug report, EU doesn’t even have the proper bug report section like U.S. forums have… and without this button working I can’t even bug report in game, because of that…

I have the same issue. I’ve tried reloading / restarting the game, it does not help.

which country ? which ISP ? VPN ?
Does this website load in your web browser ? eu.support.blizzard.com

this is clearly some kind of connection block
either DNS not resolved, blocked DNS/IP, or not properly updated IP adress
