This is a newly formed guild, my main guild I have no problems with same as the cummunities
Title says it all, server transfer was… months ago with the free server transfer after SL ?
I still cant join a guild, when I do I dont have access to anything, no guild chat, not in the roster, I’m literally in a guild but not in a guild, tried to change to different guilds, no dice, so I’m basically unable to join a guild
Same for communities
What is there to do ?

This is the character I’m having the issues on by the way, it is in a guild, tried joining this one after leaving another one, but in game it still says I’m not in a guild and I’m basically invisible to them
Six days and counting plus a reset. Really Blizz?
Please fix this problem, six days is more than long enough imo
Hey everyone,
We absolutely understand how frustrating this is for affected players and guilds, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s being taken very seriously and it’s still being worked on with the goal of resolving this as soon as possible. We had hoped to resolve this over maintenance, and while the issue should now be resolved for any new guilds being created, we still need to heal up any previously affected guilds as they will continue to experience this issue until a fix can be deployed for them.
We’ll try and do our best to keep updates coming, but we would only do this if there was a meaningful update to provide. The US forums will likely have more detailed updates to provide as they’re closer to the source and have better forum coverage than us, so if updates are important to you than I recommend keeping an eye on this thread, linking to the most recent blue post by Kalviery. We also have a Breaking News article up to cover this issue.
Finally, I’d like to echo again a request to please not create further tickets to our Customer Support team. This is a known issue affecting lots of players, and the team are unable to resolve this issue on an individual basis. Rest assured we are well aware of the issue, per my information linked earlier, and we’re doing everything we can to resolve this as soon as possible for everyone affected.
Thank you all so much for your continued patience and understanding.
Someone from the US said getting kicked and re-invited is a more solid solution. I tried it myself and after exiting game and relogging, I could see everything properly. Not sure how long this will last however.
Joined the guild where my friend is and i cant write anything in guild chat it doesnt show that im in guild even though he sees that im online
So, a week later you guys decide, oh, maybe we can’t just sweep this under the rug like we normally do, we better hold our hands up this time.
Nearly a week this has going on for! frustrating is an understatement! This has been poorly dealt with from the very beginning with lack of information, you guys at blizzard not addressing it publicly, no sign of it being fixed, no time frame on when it will be fixed!
Imagine being a new player to the game, you join a guild but oh…there’s nothing to see, and you presumably can’t join another one, no idea what’s going on because you don’t even know about the forums!
I read in other posts that ppl experienced this bug after realm transfer. Well, this paladin is not transferred, it’s a new toon on the realm.
I was hoping the bug will be gone with the weekly reset, but no, I logged-in and nothing changed. I’m a new member of this guild, yet I can’t communicate with members, only in whispers. Guild events are also not visible in the calendar.
One of the main social parts of the game is missing for almost a week now and I can’t seem to get any closer to a solution. I’m paying for the full game, every singe features of it, yet I can’t use one of the most important ones.
Do your job and fix this, this is not what I’m paying for.
Well, I’ve worked in IT long enough to know that when the community contact says “Our team is working on this”; then the team is really working on this. Some problems are atypical and take some serious hoop jumping to isolate and then resolve.
Oh, and I’m affected by the problem too, and it’s real frustrating, I may even be missing out on scheduled events.
But I’m sure that it’s really being worked on. And people who have no experience in backend system support, programming, and admin stuff, should really take a tour of such an environment once or twice…
Sure, but this issue is here for like months. One of my guildmates told me that they also got this problem months ago and it was just gone after a few days. I’m playing this account since 2012 and I have never met this problem personally, so I was hoping it will be gone with the weekly reset - after a few days as others said. But no, it’s still there, and it’s there for months and it looks it is viral in the last few days.
I get you. It’s just that when it comes to this kind of problems, the IT people are usually in crunch mode as it is. And for a company the size of Blizzard you usually have the additional problem of people turnover, and those who programmed and knew the backend like the back of their hand being long gone…
It’s a tangled mess. Hope they sort it soon, obviously.
I had trouble after real mtransfer on this character, but after the restart today it seems fine.
I also had a character from the realm join a guild, and she had the bug as well, but all is fine now.
Hope those who still have the bug gets it fixed soon!
I have this issue like for 4 days and when the only thing you can do is /gquit in chat and join guild again …
Thats the thing the guild is for my Alts I can not leave a guild as i would be unable to invite my alts back due to the fact I cant even see the guild as the leader and I do not want to Disband my guild just because of a bug
Maybe test your SQL statements before you commit. Thanks. Bye.
Hello, have the same problem, created a guild for my alts and not working, no guild under Guild & communities tab, my alts are pending for the guild but cant put them in, they don’t show under applicants. Hope for a fast fix.
I am now back to seeing everything. I hope the rest of you get yours soon, too.
Why then the battle net app devs removed the “breaking news” section in the app? it was at least 2 days and I haven’t seen the “breaking news” even in the WoW game on the login screen and you guys would’ve wanted to have that info somewhere more directly to the non-forum based players, as there were only the “server restart breaking news”. If it was up to me, I’d just copy paste the little “breaking news” window both to the login screen and to the battle net app under the WoW game tab… it’s not about the forums. Forums are so frustrating to find the info wether it’s being worked on or not and wether there will be an update on roughly how much longer players will have to wait. This PROBLEM of the “breaking news” info not being shown where it’s supposed to be shown is EXACTLY the reason your support team has a million of same of these tickets…
I mean just to give you an idea look at the first iterations of the app (before this new design where you made de facto a web browser of it)… https://i.gyazo.com/d91ff5cbbd235ca7727f462efa71b145.png
and https://i.gyazo.com/2726bf625deeff882facf52f9c0496ae.jpg
There was always a direct way EVERYONE would see the “breaking news” window as the first thing before even thinking about opening a ticket, unlike nowadays where there are a bunch of useless info like “New Mount: Lucky Yun!” and such at the top instead of putting the real deal info like “breaking news” at the top as it always was before the app redesign.
You don’t have to answer to this as it’s just a critique/good suggestion. But please be mindful and forward this message above^ (not the deleted reply where there were many typos but the one above it) to watcherdev (Ion Hazzikostas) or any actual dev who is part of Team1.
Thanks,
D.B.
