My family and I have 19+ year WoW accounts and have played on US servers until yesterday. We have been playing since 2005. We decided to play on European servers this time so we can raid during the day as that fits our schedules better. I created a European sub several years ago but never used it. However, my husband and son both created new European subscriptions 2 days ago in anticipation of the launch of fresh Classic servers. We are now playing on Thunderstrike.
Both my husband and son have restrictions on their subs. They cannot trade or mail items at all which makes playing together very difficult. We will be level 60 before these restrictions are lifted which is ridiculous. I realize there is a 30 day restriction on the new Starter Edition subs which are required if you want to play on a European server. I also understand these limitations are in place to discourage gold sellers. However, both these accounts are very old with NO history of gold selling or buying.
I do not understand why this limitation is applied unilaterally with absolutely no review.
A very cursory review of both accounts would make it obvious neither is a gold seller or buyer as there have been absolutely no violations in our almost 20 year history with WoW. We’ve created tickets in game but I am doubtful we will get any kind of action or response. It leaves a very bad impression with customers to apply rules like this unilaterally with absolutely no consideration for cases like ours.
Thanks for reading.
