Hello,

Ench uses one handed axes/maces. This is why those spells will not work with a dagger. Daggers are for Resto/Ele specs.
So why does the tooltip lie? I’m pretty sure a dagger is a one-handed melee weapon.
In the skillbook at weapons skill it shows daggers among the skills and daggers are classified as one-handed weapon.
When you go to your Shaman Talent Ench, it states what they use: One handed axes/maces… Ench spec does not use daggers, regardless of it being one handed.
Edit: Dual Axes, Maces, fist weapons.
You mean this?
I can’t find anything that says “Shaman Talent Ench”
In that case it states they can use daggers, it doesn’t matter what the spec uses, a dagger is a one handed melee weapon, if it’s not try telling that to rogues.
As a Shaman go to your Talents screen, the one where you choose your spec as either Ele/Resto/Ench. Under each it states what each Shaman spec is able to use. Daggers are for Ele/Resto only. It is in the tooltip because those two specs use them.
I see, instead of preferred weapon it should say Dual weapons needed then list the types you can use that doesn’t limit your skills.
Yup, can confirm it says “Preferred Weapons: Dual Axes, Maces, Fist weapons”.
Though they devs should clearly state what they want for enhance shamans to use.
Preferred isn’t exactly meaning it’s mandatory.
