Can't access Sargeras Dungeon in Legion

Hello, I am trying to get the Legion plot done to be able to play a lightforged draenei. The problem was, I could not access any legion dungeons, so I went to Chromie and changed to Legion. Now, that I am there, I cannot enter the Tomb of Sargeras in person, as I also cannot use the dungeon finder to group up for it, as it also is not listed there. It seems that any other Legion dungeon is there, but not this one. I have no idea why, and why I even cannot enter in person, because it tells me that is not possible with Chromie time. For whatever reason. If I don’t use Chromie, I cannot group up for Legion dungeons, and with Chromie, they are there, but not that one. I need it to complete the quest plot though. I would love to know whose idea that design choice was, why it is that way, and how they thought this not to be frustrating. How can I finish my quests, killing Kil’Jaeden and enter the Cathedral of Eternal Night: Altar of the Aegis, to defeat Mephio-something, if I cannot enter either? At least list the dungeon there and tell me why I cannot enter. The Chromie time-message thing is not enough to tell me, what I can do instead. And what it has to do with Chromie time. It is a dungeon, I should have the level to enter, right? And if I am not having the level or anything else is missing, then tell me.

Character details: Lv. 48 Night Elf Druid, no Shadowlands, Chromie set to Legion

Tomb of Sargeras is a raid and I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with unlocking a LF Draenei.

To unlock LFD Draenei you need to complete the Argus storyline, which starts with a quest from Khadgar.

All you need to get this quest is to unlock the Broken Shore campaign by doing the Assault on Broken Shore scenario, which I’m guessing you already did.

Unrelated to LF Draenei, if you want to complete old raid/heroic dungeon quests the most plausible way to do it is to solo it once you’re high enough level, or if it can’t be soloed then in a small group of max level characters (friends, guildmates, whoever is willing to help).

And yes you can’t enter raids and heroic dungeons in chromie time you have to disable it first. (not that you’d be able to solo those at level 48 I believe).

PS: BTW customer support doesn’t give gameplay hints.

This isn’t a hint, Blizzard seems to be unable to write information in a way they can be understood by someone not present when the mechanic was introduced. Too often they assume you have played ages ago to know what they want, and when they tell me I cannot enter, I have absolutely no idea why. Chromie time what? Why is that even related to this? Why is there no information, that it is a raid. There is no information in the quest giving me any hints than that it is a dungeon I apparently need to do.

btw, another thing that just happened today: some quests have to be heavily rebalanced. Without much dungeon gear (because I usually do not enjoy them much) some quest missions in Legion are way too to difficult solo. I just failed many times killing mobs for that portal quest with Kruul. Good luck doing this alone. It is grindy, and only by luck I got as far as I did. Did they forget that artifact weapons are not a thing anymore? And why are those not at the level you got them with, but 20?

I am sorry but this bs is exactly why I stopped playing. Information economy. You cannot enter because you are in Chromie time is no information usable to the player, because I still don’t know why that is. Some other quests related to the Broken Shore campaign popped up by now but at that point yesterday I had absolutely no clue something else had to be done and that this quest is not related to the main quest, because it still looks like it is. And from what I am seeing so far, I am not confident in being actually able to get where I need to be, because BL seems to absolutely fail in telling me what I need to know. And also: they assume, you do quests the way they intended, there is usually only one way of doing them. Do them another way and you die. Then, please go back to simple kill quests if you cannot do them in any other way than the way you want, without telling the player that. Information is key and they repeately fail at giving it thoroughly enough.

Another example just in:
Quest: A Gift From the Six
"Raise your weapon and receive the Council of Six’s gift in the Violet Citatel’

  • no word in either the text nor the from the NPC that, of course, you cannot actually raise your weapon in this game. Someone totally new may not know that. So, alright, I know, at least. But, again. How? No information that you have to actually step a few steps back into the circle of blue light to use an ability. Once there, you need the artifact weapon. Again, not mentioned in the quest text, but at least the game tells you. Then, again, you cannot use the ability, because you are in the wrong specialization. Which one that is, the game doesn’t tell me.
    Get my point?
Tell the player what the player needs to god damn know. Because I don’t. And I have seen this so often that I am really asking myself who on earth writes those. I am now, standing in this circle, and don’t know which specialization they want from me now. I can try them all, but again, it should be in the text.

You mean like this? Blizzard are not there to tell you what you need to do.

Did chromie time exist in BfA? No. So don’t use it.

There is a big circle that appears, isn’t that a hint?

How can one know she didn’t exist then? I definitely do not. Wowhead is also not from Blizzard itself. This is not a Paradox game. I can expect the devs explain their content themselves. Not to mention that most information out there is not up to date anymore when it comes to prequisitions one need because they changed so many things. And even if you can’t use Chromie in BfA, which is beside the point, because this is Legion content, why, and where does Blizzard tell you it is the case?

And the circle appears BEHIND you. I did not zoomed out wide enough to see it. But still, it should be mentioned in the quest text. Not, raise your weapon. Go into the blue circle behind you to to that.

You want an official Blizzard walkthough? Do you want them to play the game for you too? I don’t know any game that gives you that. It’s all third party websites.

Imagine what a single websearch on the quest would have done for you. Also doesn’t the circle make a noise?

You miss the point entirely. I want BL to put the information you need into the quest text so I don’t have to guess. What specialization do I need here now? Do they tell you, no. That the Citadel is a raid and not necessary for the main plot, do they tell you that, no.

While the Citadel is not listed in the Legionfall Campaign, defeating Kil’Jaden is. And again, the game gives me no information why I have that quest but no way to enter the Tomb of Sargeras.

I don’t want the game to play itself, I want the person that writes those quest texts to get their head out of a window and ask themselves if someone not knowing that they know can get any idea of what they need to know the way they omit these pieces. I don’t want to google every piece of information myself. Not because I cannot, but because it gets me out of the illusion the game offers. I am playing the game for the lore and the world, and when I have to google every 30 minutes how to deal with some weird thing that I cannot know because they fail to mention it, it kills this illusion.

An answer has been given. The rest of this thread has started to turn into an argument and a suggestion for in-game changes, neither of which is appropriate for these forums.
