Can't activate 60 day game card

Hi,

After a few years of not playing today i went to a retail store and bough 60 day WoW game time.

Code should be for my region (EU), but whenever i try it i get this error:

Error “Oops! The code you entered cannot be claimed. Please check the code and try again. If you see this error again, please try again later, as the game or website may be undergoing maintenance.”

Is there an issue currently with the website or the game?

I tried on website on two browser and using the battle.net program but i get the same error.

Should i return the code to the store? Is there something else i can try?

I wrote to support but i feel hesitant about typing the code from the gamecard, is that absolutely necessary?

I am writing here because i’d like to try to resolve this today if possible, i was really looking forward to playing WoW this weekend, and because of work on weekdays i can play a lot less.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, i’m really at a loss of what to do

Have you tried the things in this article? https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/34196 Usually it could be a miss-entered code.

If you contact support providing a picture of the actual code will get it resolved easier.

Since you tried entering the code, you’ve scratched off the black parts and 100% of these cases stores will not accept returns.

Thank for the help. but i tried that. I have multiple of both of those characters (from both columns) and they are distinctly different.

Its printed pretty cleanly on paper, honestly i was surprised i didn’t get a scratch card.

I never got a message that the code is incorrect, just that error from above that it can’t be claimed website may be under meintenance

Oh it’s been awhile, my last one was a scratch card myself actually.

You’ll need to contact Support then, there’s a link in the support article. Blizzard won’t steal the code or something.

Unfortunately due the pandemic and players spamming tickets there may be very long waiting times.

If the code ends up not working i’m not sure if i can return it to the store if i take too long to do so

I thought you got it on a card and scratched it off yourself.

Anything else would say to me you got ripped off.

I think its how they sell it here. Its basically the only store that sells it in my country.

And it never said the code wasn’t working, i’d hope it would give a notice if the code was used or not valid

It could be a US code, without the card you cannot tell.

I’m in Europe and they asked me if my account is EU when i bought it

I’d hope they know what they’re selling being that they’re a fairly big and successful company here
