I can not buy WoW Token as a player from Turkey and this effects the gameplay experience negatively.
I created an in-game ticket and received the following answer from the game master:
“It is currently not possible to buy WoW Tokens for real money in Brazil, Argentina, Iran, and Turkey, and that is all the information we can give right now.”
Blizzard should address this topic. I think the reason they disabled was people buying it for low amount of money due to regional pricing and selling it for high amounts to other regions and profiting. But as normal players, we should not be the ones being punished.
I am even okay with paying the original price without the regional pricing for WoW Tokens, if it will solve the issue. Maybe they can introduce it back with 20 Euros instead of Turkish Liras (just the WoW token).
We used to be able to buy it, but now I’m just trying to play the game with a disadventage. This future should be either available for everyone or for noone. Because it is really hard to compete in a market which accepts real money, when you are tied to only farming in-game currency with in-game content.
I have 80k gold in my bag, looking at a 100k weapon enchant and passing on it.
Yes it sucks but let’s face it, you’re 342 ilvl, it’s not the 80k enchant that’s holding you back. If you played the game on a level where it matters, you’d find some way to make gold.
I am a pvper and my ilvl has nothing to do with this. I am already 2.4k experienced arena player with this character and I am fully geared when it comes to pvp, just missing a few conquest items.
I am on a level where it actually matters. It will be crucial, especially in a few weeks when I start pushing for higher ratings or glad achievements. And this issue will still be there then.
There’s nothing we can do about it. We can sit here and guess all day long why it’s disallowed, then guess why blizzard isn’t giving more info on it, but it won’t change anything.
For reference I have to option to pay with euros for the game and tokens even though my local (eastern european) currency is different, so I don’t think it’s a simple matter of currencies.
I was hoping that creating a topic and discussing about it would help voicing concerns and receiving replies from Blizzard about this. Maybe trigger a solution that is not being prioritized at the moment.
I will try to do this for sure, because I do not have any other choice at the moment. I just wanted to open the topic because this is a problem.
I need to farm gold now instead of playing something else, and you can imagine some people don’t have the time for that. And I know this is a part of the game, but in this case players from other regions have the luxury to skip that part while we can’t.
Start an evoker or druid (or any other class, but those two are better), get herbalism and mining. Get the master trainers, treasures and the weekly quest once you have spec points. Spec into elemental mastery in both proffs and then titan-touched stuff.
Use elemental overload on titan-touched ones only.
About 60k/hour.
