I’m unable to change timeline through Chromie.
I have read that people solved this by doing the BFA intro. Since i leveled my non boosted alt through BFA i have already done that. I tried to do the darkshore scenario and even that didn’t fix it. When i talk to Chromie she says that “the situation in Icecrown needs me” and i don’t have any prompt or button to press. My dungeon finder is set in BFA.
Any idea?

As of today, i have the same issue on another toon as well. As usual Chromie says to go to solve issues in Icecrown but the timeline is stuck on Classic/Cata.
The character doesn’t have the intro quests to WOTLK completed so i can’t even try to see if i can solve this problem by actually questing in Icecrown.
I guess that i’m lucky that i have completed every single zone on my main since it’s not bugged… yet.
i tried and check the warboard to see if the wotlk quest was there but there are several different dlc quest no wotlk
This bit confused me. There is no Chromie time if you have hit 50, you are evicted from it.
Chromie time is only for levelling, you reach level 10 and visit her to choose an expansion you want to level through. You can go back to her at any time and leave Chromie time and select another expansion to level through. Or you can ignore Chromie time all together.
Yep that got me confused because i didn’t know about that, i’m going to edit the first post to make it clearer. The character i was referring when i opened the topic is a level 33 DK, while the one i dinged 50 was a Rogue, now i’m having the same issue on a 27 Priest.
So you go to Chromie, choose the Wrath time line and it doesn’t start?
I go to Chromie and i have no prompt, i can’t select anything. She has a fixed dialogue saying that there’s trouble in Icecrown, but i did not pick the WOTLK timeline.

This is the Blizzard FAQ
If you do not yet have a max level character, or you choose to take the city tour, your character will be pushed a shortened version of the Battle for Azeroth questline. To unlock Chromie Time you must complete the introductory questline up through A Nation Divided (Alliance) or Speaker of the Horde (Horde) to unlock the Chromie Time option. Once you have completed the introductory questline, you can go back to your faction’s main city and talk to Chromie (Stormwind/Orgrimmar) to pick a different questing area.
Have you done that on your main?

Yes i did. The strange thing is that on some characters i have the possibility of changing timelines and on some i don’t, that’s why it is sooo confusing.

Looking at people with the same issue some say doing the Come Sail Away Achievement for Alliance or Welcome to Zandalar Achievement for Horde meant they could go back after and start Chromie time after.
I’m just googling through what has worked for others and hoping one of them works for you.

Thank you! I really appreciate the effort!
I have both of those achievements. I’m bashing my head as well to understand what could be the issue.

The suggestion was that if they did the intro to BFA on the new chars they could then go back to Org/SW and start Chromie time.
I’ll post again if I find any other suggestions.

So i was able to solve the issue on my DK by completing Atal’Dazar dungeon chain quest. I don’t know if that’s the trigger but after completing Zuldazar questline and the Atal’Dazar quest i noticed in Orgrimmar that Chromie was again avaiable to change timeline.
At this point I wonder if it’s an issue that arise when you select a certain zone to level?
Ps: i’m the OP, i just renamed this char to his original name.
