Can't choose a Tank/DPS class

Hi,
I’ve recently started to play as a tank for dungeons with my friend (he is a healer btw) and I’ve tested some tanks: Druid, Paladin, DK, and DH. I don’t have a warrior and to be honest, I don’t want to level him. Oh, I also have a monk but I hate that he relies on healer too much.

So I’m trying to choose between:

Guardian+Feral = Fun and an easy big bag of HP. Feral tricky and I don’t get how to play it correctly. I’m trying to kill some elite mobs and my DPS is low as hell in comparison to other classes. And, actually, I don’t mind his bear/cat forms as I’m not a transmog maniac. Oh, and Battleres and stealth are so great!

Prot+Ret = Fun prot, nice ret, but slow. I’m not sure if I can live with this because my main is Hunter which is quite mobile. But for Prot, my most favorite part is his supportive design: been able to defend your team, support your healer feels really satisfying.

Veng+Havoc = VDH fun, but tricky as feral and feels squishy but I love his self-healing and mobility. Havoc plays OK, but too fast for me, lol. I can’t get his dashes. (btw they are so OP that I’m scared that Blizz will nerf them in the SL).

here should be DK, but I don’t like his specs currently

I love all three tanks, they are great fun, but I’m not sure about DPS specs of these classes, I don’t have much experience and ilvl to test them.
I don’t raid at all, I play only M+, world content and Visions for now with my Druid friend, who is Resto/Boomy. World PVP and BGS when solo. So I want a solid tank/DPS class that has good DPS in both specs and can be self-efficient if Healer will screw up (he is a newbie). Any advice?

Guardian + balance

Is your friend cute?

You don’t want to share loot with cute friends

Ima go with Paladin, also because it’s so different from your hunter - it might be different enough to stay interesting instead of same old same old. Plus Paladin is pretty easy to hop on and play with where druid can get confusing if you’re not playing regularly imo.

I would totally go with Prot Warrior, i mained Prot Paladin and despite me having loads of defensives and self healing you can still be a bit spikey.

I re rolled a prot warrior and i’ve noticed my health is usually much more consistent. The mobility is a game changer, on my Pala i was usually dependent placement inside consecration, as a prot warrior i can easily move around. Not to mention the DPS.

I’m now dabbling with healing and prot warriors are just less stress to heal.

If you want an easy mode then it’s Blood DK.
They have a spell to bring all mobs together to form a cluster, they have grap spell to bring an irritating mob to them that pursuits your healer/ DD from afar and they have a decent healing/ damage as well. To me, they are a true role model of a tank.

The only issue is their mobility.

If your friend is a druid, I would play as monk. Stagger as tanking mechanic and a healing kit built around HoTs is just awesome.

I recommend this, Guardian tanking is a bit… boring, in my opinion however, but Feral is so fun once you get the rotation down and such, but if you want to learn more about Feral, and Guardian I recommend joining the druid discord. We would be happy to help you out. =)

As a prot Pala I don’t really feel lack of mobility is a great issue in PVE.

Ret does feel a bit sluggish in the few times I’ve played it.

However since I main a Pala and alt a BM hunter and a Spriest, I’d recommend a Paladin as that combo BM hunter/Pala feels great as a duo due to the immense change of pace between each class.
