I stopped playing after Cataclysm and am aiming to play every expansion sequentially (for the lore).
I’ve just finished the Champions of Thunder quest, as well as every other campaign quest according to the quest log. Siege of Orgrimmar is clearly next to progress to, but I’m getting no quest triggers. Can anyone advise?
I saw something about a legendary cloak questline having been removed which affects MoP/this quest alongside a few other things from other expansions - have Blizzard just made it impossible to 100% old content?
That’s right. MOP story is incomplete due to the removal of the Legendary Quest chain. You are also missing the original Valley and the story from Barrens patch.
The same is true for WOD. They also removed the lore quest chain from BFA Pre Event so the story also has a jump between the end of Legion and the start of BFA
In the case of MOP at least we are confident we will have MOP Classic in a year or so, which means we will have the change the explore all the original MOP Story… only to be destroyed one or two years later later once MOP Classic ends. Some content, like the Valley, even before that.
I believe Blizzard should take the opportunity of Classic to reintroduce that removed content into Retail. But given what we have seen, they don’t have the intention, even repeating the same mistakes of removing lore content in Classic too.
They said that Classic was supposed to be a museum. I suppose a museum with limited time gallery’s with restored content that will be available only during a short time before destroying it again is still a museum… A crap one, but a museum
