Can't create allied race

So I’m new to Wow but I did play it 2 months ago to prepare myself to shadowlands - I leveled monk, opened DH - played him for a while, completed legion story and unlocked Void elf for myself.

Then I Created void elf and left it there, but now I do not have an ability to create it anymore. Why is that?

This seems to be a bug for some people and an undocumented restriction for others.

There are many threads about it.

One syndrome is claimed to be that accounts with fewer than 30 hours played are forced into Newcomer Chat, and can’t access Allied Races until that is available, but if you levelled and played a bit, I imagine that should not be you. You can type
/played
in your chat to see your played time.

Other people, even those who could create Aliied Races before, cannot.

All I can suggest is that you make a Support ticket and keep your eye on the Support section

and the US Bug Report and Customer Service forums for any updates.

Hi, I can’t create allied race too, and I have one in my characters…it’s really annoying because I don’t want to level up a new character for nothing.

Made a ticket yesterday, still no meaningful reply. I can see this bug existing for a few weeks now and can’t believe its not been resolved yet.

I just started playing WoW and I can’t create any allied race despite unlocking them. Im 15 hours in on my boosted character and am literally forced to AFK to reach 30 hours instead of playing how I want. Absolutely disgusting.

EDIT: Afked 30 hours and “graduated” from newbie chat. My allied races immediately appeared after client restart.

I had the same problem. I played for many years on and off, and have 10+ characters, some of them at previous max level. And I was still put in to Newcomer chat. I unlocked Void Elfs a week ago but it was not available to me when creating a new character.

The fix for me was twofold, firstly reach 30 hours played, and secondly ding level 50. As soon as I dinged 50 on my new character I was greeted with a message saying I had graduated from newcomer. At the time I had like 35 hours or so played. I relogged and voila there the allied races were at creation screen.

I have exactly the same problem, got referred by a friend after nog playing for many years (used to play for 7 years straight).
Now I got a boosted character to 50 and unlocked the High Mountain Tauren race, didn’t buy Shadowlands expansion though, and wanted to play them but they don’t show up.

My boosted character is currently ‘only’ on 22 hours and thus still in newcomers chat, but it would be a huge annoyance to forcefully have to put 30 hours in first before being able to play my much anticipated allied race.

Is there a way we can bump up the support threads without making new ones?
Because it’s crazy that this isn’t fixed like the week it was found.

so i have found the workaround once you have the achievement you will need to reach level 50 for some odd reason that unlocked the races for me to create hope this helps

I had sams issue, I unlocked couple of allied races, couldn’t see them. Next day I login they are there, so just a bug
