Cant decide between warlock and rogue

i have a 69 warlock 64 rogue, idk who to main at 70.
Im mostly interested in PvP (bg, arena, world pvp), sometimes casual dungeons/raids

Rogue seems like a stronger class in PvP, my warlock has many weaknesses : priests can dispel all my dots and people break fear. if a priest dispels dots i do 0% damage

But rogues seem to be a pain in dungeons & raids due to all the aoe and lower dps, so it seems like a hassle to gear her.

Can someone help me decide and give some input? how the classes are at lvl 70

It’s your choice, you are the one playing it.

There are lots of guides explaining the playstyle.

As a rogue you wont be invited to anything pve basically. Rogues are very good in pvp, all-though they have a high skill-cap.

Locks do very good in both pve and pvp. Might be easier to play, than rogues.

Rogues and Warlocks play way differently so I think you should play a bit more of both and see what play style you prefer.

The only real downside to rolling Rogue is that you’re less favourable in PvE - although you can still get groups for stuff since the content is easy enough for it.

If you like them equally I’d say you have more reason to play Warlock, although undead racial will be a bit annoying to deal with for you, but then again so will orc resist so who knows

You know what a rogue can do? Yes they pick lock.

That’s correct please roll Rogue on my realm and open up my boxes tyvm

is it that difficult to do pve as rogue ?

Not really if u team up with correct teammates. Pugging is a bit harder because noone is gonna take Rogue over Warlock, Hunter or Mage (and there are a lot of them).

Unless you play with a group of friends, yes. Nobody brings a rogue in pugs. Not many guilds bring in rogues either. It’s not that rogues do bad dmg, they just dont bring anything to the table.

Once you have merciless gear on a warlock you are almost unkillable. You can tank any class with SL/SL.

Sadly, the game is filled with sweaty tryhard min/maxers.
And a rogue dont bring much to the raid other than dps, so yes it can be hard to find grps in pve.
But find a good guild, and you do fine as a rogue.

Swes. Hates BG queue and is going to quit the game because of it.

Also Swes. Come join horde on my server so you can service my needs.

Nobody said I was going to quit the same, I just (like anyone would) do not enjoy sitting in a 2 hour queue

It was a joke

Jesus you’re a salty loser, get off me

Is the solution just to make your own dungeon/raid groups? then you make the rules and dont have to be discriminated against? or will people still not join cuz ur a rogue lol

Not everyone is a tryhard min/maxer luckily.

Problem is to find them. So try look for a good guild.
But yes, making your own group is also the solution, but, its not easy. Tanks and healers dont grow on trees.

I usually make my own groups anyway because i like being the leader

ugh i really like my warlock in PvE with seed and good dps but i think i like the rogue PvP style better. its a shame rogues are so bad in pve.

Warlock would be so much less effort for me to gear but rogues are stronger in pvp… i cant really decide

it comes to your playstyle and enjoyment. dont push yourself over meta between those two.

give them both a fiddle to see what you think?

find yourself a tank buddy and you’ll never have problems getting into dungeons, tanks love rogue dps because they can cc, off tank one mob, and will support the tank against the annoying than the gogogo casters

Don’t think you have to inform him on sweaty min-maxers, his two characters are rogue and lock ^^

Warlock is good but undead rogues are just a pain in the but as a ally warlock. Played this character since classic and love the warlock play style. I’d say that the warlock can beat most classes apart from undead rogues
