So I’ve decided to roll a healer, I haven’t healed since start of legion and I can’t make my mind up on which to choose… Resto druid and evoker are out of the question as our guild is full of them, so I’m narrowing it down to resto sham or holy priest but not sure which would be easier when doing m+ ?
sham maybe because he has hero and has own cr. but both dont heal much and you will have very bad exp in current super toxic pugs i think.
I am playing a shaman right now, and I have to admit… they nerfed it as hell. It’s weak, it doesn’t heal, and it’s that type of class that is not meta right now and everyone will look at you like at second-class healer.
Sadly meta is very clear and very strong in this expansion… Shamans used to have a lot of fun in Shadowlands, now it’s time to charge these rerolls…
Holy Priest is very fun. Super underrated in my opinion. Spec into Lightweaver, Trail of Light, Binding Heal, and that talent that gives you 2 charges of your Holy Word and you have a very very strong spec for M+.
They also have amazing dps for a healer. Perhaps the strongest dps of all the healing specs. Although their dps is getting nerfed next patch.
Did someone say Mistweaver?
Hard to go wrong with priest.
The one you think is coolest looks/theme wise.
Holy priest is your choice. Resto shaman currently struggles a lot on high keys due to movement requirements and necessity to stand and cast.
Holy has mass dispel and has chunky instant heals.
I do love resto shaman, but in DF it was shafted. The loss of vesper totem really downgraded resto shaman.
But you know… if you really love resto shaman and want to brave the difficulties, go for it. It’s just you will probably see less success.
I see you have a paladin. Have you considered holy paladin? They are very good. Not as good as evoker and druid but good.
dont go resto shaman just dont trust me not wort suffering
Join us resto is a tiny bit harder (as you want a bunch of small cds to use, so you’d have a bigger clutter).
Downside is, we don’t really have defensives
I would say holy priest as well. I love my holy priest, it’s fun, new healer friendly, and does better than resto shammy atm both ways.
Holy priest, or Mistweaver if you like melee DPS’ing.
Resto shaman is difficult to play at the moment because this expansion has so much random AoE stuff that requires you to move and they have a lot of slow hard-cast heals. They do have some builds that rely less on hard-casts, but still. They’re still fun to play though, just not easy.
Prevoker is a bit hard but fun IMO, it’s worth giving a shot
Holy paladin and mist weaver is nice. It all depends on what dps class you like to quest with and what fantasy you prefer. Pick something you like doing open world content with and you will have a great time.
I played a holy priest in season 4. I didn’t like shadow 1 little bit so I didn’t feel like I wanted to play it
Shaman or drachtyrs.
Both got haste buff.
Shamans can offtank with eles and buff the group, also 40 yd range and good mobility I think.
Drachtyrs range is short tho so the group need to understand that.
nah. holy pala is trash and you need much more skill then druid, drake or what ever. its not worth the stress.
Holy paladin is not trash. It is just not as good as druid and dragon. And it struggles less than shaman. I rerolled too to paladin. I just hate the playstyle of druid. I have tried playing it in legion, bfa and sl and i just can’t enjoy it.
ofc is he trash! wtf are you talking about!!!1… as druid i have ez mode as healer. as paladin i need epic skills, hard premade or what ever.
nobody care about low keys.
Non meta is not equal to trash.
High keys are done with a premade anyway.
It is true pugging can be easier on different specs. But that is not related to meta. Like venthyr holy paladin in s1 and s2 in shadowlands. It was meta for the highest keys but a disaster to play with in a pug since it was a terrible healer.
don’t go resto sham. They’re god awful as of now. I geared an alt resto sham and doing anything above +10 is absolute horror while my druid heals +15s with same ilvl no problems
