Can we get rid of this please its honestly annoying beyond comparison and would go as far as saying its outdated and pointless now and haven’t realised how annoying it is since I had to delete characters on random servers due to the warband update.

What I’d change to this is that it should pop this up, but in a way that lets you bypass.
“This character has ingame mail, are you sure you want to delete it?”
Any mail that was sent to the character should just be automatically returned to sender upon deletion of the recipient character

No, because they added it in the first place due players deleting toons with mail and then get asked by the same players whether if they can undelete the toon and then also undelete the mail. It is quite a hassle.
There’s already a “are you sure you want to delete this character”? And people still want to undelete toons regretting their decision, a feature Blizzard had to create because of the players constantly ticketing them about that.
Actually any expired mail gets deleted. Not returned nowadays. Because Blizzard saw players use it as a mail storage, an unintended use hm.

This safeguard actually stopped me from accidentally deleting about 400k gold once because I sent it to the wrong character by mistake. Could have restored the character if I eventually realised what had happened, sure, but that would have locked my character restore for a while.
I say we keep it.

Hey! I did it once lol. TSM/Postal mail autofills the field to the last character you send something to, which is my main banker 99% of the time, and I just went clickity click without realising.

Maybe Blizzard should just stop catering to stupid and tell those people that they messed up themselves by not reading the warning.

Its a pain. Usually is some garbage Blizz mail that gets spammed to each char on creation. Pesky Pug is main culprit.
You’d get people complaining they deleted a character with mail they forgot about then. I think it’s fine as it is.

Think is should have an have you checked mail on the confirm stage. Add a not similar to AH do so at own risk = no come back.

At least they should make this validion only for player’s mails, not those automatic mails recibed by Blizzard like for example every time there is an Anniversary Event. During one of those events it is literally imposible to delete any character created in Exile’s Reach or any other starter zone without mailbox.
