I am trying to dethrone the guildmaster in my guild, I checked the requirements and rank 4 can take over the guild according to wows customer support ingame.
But everytime I try I only get Internal guild error.
I have tried several trouble shooting steps, run the game as administrator, scan and repair, close everyone program running in the background, full UI reset etc. but nothing works.
I think the issue might be when you look at the roster we have 2 people in the guild master rank. The person who created the guild that hasn’t been online for 4 years and the officier who dethroned that hasn’t been online in 1 years.
Anyone that have any suggestions on how to continue?
Does any of these apply to you?
If you don’t see the option to dethrone, it means the Guild Master is active, you don’t have a high enough rank to claim the leadership, your selected character is owner of a Housing Neighborhood, or an active guild member outranks you and is next in succession before you. Please be aware that your character must be on the same realm as the guild to be qualified.
As I don’t see the guild or character in question I couldn’t check, but I bolded some of the possibilities. Please be aware that the GM activity check is performed BNET wide, they don’t need to login there to stop dethroning.

I have the option to dethrone, neither is active and no other outranking guild member active.

The original gm hasn’t been online on Bnet in a year, the second one in 3 months
