So, I am no longer a Battle Pet Trainer due to some bug. All 3 pet slots are locked telling me I have to do quests. I went to Org to check if this could get fixed simply by reaccepting quests from Varzok and that didn’t help. He just gave me initial quests again, which I don’t really want to do (I have like 900 lvl 25 pets or so with 500+ ap)
I restarted the client with addons turned off. Didn’t help.
I’m pretty sure reinstalling the game or any other drastic measure like that won’t help either. I opened a ticket in game and got the generic answer machine reply, that they are currently dealing with a lot of requests and can’t deal with my problem. What do I do here boys?
PS forgot to mention that I tried to relog on alts, including other account under same Bnet. Nothing.

So here’s what I found out - there’s a huge post with many people complaining about the same issue on US forums. The post dates back to Oct 15 is still refreshing with reports. Zero blue replies, zero in-game (meaningful) GM replies, since apparently that’s a big issue nobody on the dev team knows how to fix yet. More so, it is not just having to do the questing for unlocking pet battles in general - players are actually losing their achievements and go from 1500/2000 pet cap back to 1000.
On US servers players experiencing this issue requested a paid player service before the bug appeared - mostly Character Transfer. I myself did a Character Transfer just this week.
So if anyone here is experiencing same problem - pls keep reporting this bug and keep creating tickets. This wouldn’t be that big of a deal if major achievements in WOW weren’t timegated - dungeons, tournaments, powerleveling trainers such as Squirt.
I’m just waiting for some sort of meaningful reply like:
“We know this problem exists and are currently working on a fix. Once we are done - everything will be back” or “We can’t solve this right now, but if you open ticket under “following category” and ask to bring everything back - GM will assist you”.
So far even the US players are kinda being held hostage by this entire ordeal and no one on Blizz side is even talking to them. LOL. It’s been more than a week now - look at how many people are reporting this across the ocean.
Again - would not be an issue if not for the timegated accomplishments. It already takes 12 weeks to complete the Celestial tournament for example (in case you want all 4 pets). Making a bunch of pet battlers wait for another week or two is probably ok in the grand scheme of things - their subs don’t make that much of a difference. But man is that annoying.
What I find even funnier about this whole situation - is that players are actually deleting addons, uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, running scans and all that. It’s almost as if devs are waiting for players to fix this on their own (while clearly it is not possible).
I’d just like to say that I too have the same problem after transferring. Everything was working fine until I transferred my character 2 days ago.
Now it’s the same issue on every character.
I haven’t noticed any progress disappearing anywhere though but then again I’m not sure what my progress was before the transfer.
I also have the same problem, i cant learn new pets i have gotten cause of cap, i have also lost the minion of mayhem title after a character transfer.
I find it really annoying that they keep taking payments for character transfers and not warning us for this.
At least they could give us enough of their time to give us an answer that they acknowledge the problem and are working on it.
Its actually every account wide quest. i have the quests to unlock warfronts and the siege of boralus again. probably more. though from a battle pet point of view yes i have to do all the quests again, ive lost the minion of mayhem title but also 2 battle pets but im buggered if i know which pets/ 4 days and 19 hours for a reply to my ticket…
Mine has now been resolved after opening a ticket.

In my ticket I provided a screenshot of my pet journal where the issue was clearly evident. I did have to wait a few days to get this resolved but who cares, it works again! <3
Thanks for your help, the problem is not so simple as just to write a bug report in the link you provided.
I am one of many that have these issues, and yes, I have been helped with a new pet portal stone, so I could cage pets again.
However, there has not been a solution for any of the other problems created by this bug, and the silence from Blizzard side is starting to be a bit irritating.
I’m having the same issue after server transfer (general battle pets quests, pet limits, Minion of Mayhem title, and, apparently, battle pets raid progress). Oh, and Legion hatchlings’ quests were reset too.
I have also noticed that Draenor Garrison blueprints were reset too (it’s quite hilarious: for example, I have level 3 Menagerie, which is marked as requiring blueprint to build).
Submitted a ticket, received an automatic response, and ~5 days of waiting ahead, it seems.
Both my servers are not connected (Galakrond and Silvermoon), and it was just character transfer, without any additional changes.
By the way, I have already received a reply from GM — they sent me Pet Pocket Portal, and my main problem with the battle pets limit is resolved. Others are not so dire, I’ll survive
