Hello,
I used to play classic on EU server but now I want to play on korean servers.
I made a new bnet account, on which the set country is Korea. My bnet is in Korean etc.
There is a folder with the EU game client on my computer, but made a fresh install in another folder, still got the EU game client. The servers I can choose from are french, english, etc. When I check the game folder, in the date folder, it says EU. What am I missing? What do I need to do to install the korean client?
Also I am physically in Korea.
Any help appreciated
You actually need to create an asian wow account to access asian realms.
BTW you don’t need a new bnet account as it can hold up to 8 wow accounts. While it will not have anything you might have on the EU account, if you have cross promotion items on your old account like Blizzcon goodies, hearthstone mount, starcraft pet, etc. You’ll be able to access those.
For information how to create a new wow account check here (and make sure you create a korean/asian one) https://battle.net/support/article/11555
And if you already spent money on the EU account you’ll probably want to open a ticket to see if you can refund/transfer it to the new WoW account. https://battle.net/support/help/wf/wow/166/1152
I successfully made a korean account and I think it should work, but I didn’t buy any game time yet so can’t fully login. I thought I could try for free on this new account but I guess this only applies to retail wow.
On my EU account I played for a full year and have 2 60 characters, which I would gladly move over if possible. I’ll open a ticket
You can’t transfer characters between regions.
BTW I really hope you managed to make a Korean account. Apparently it actually requires you to live in Korea. If you’re having trouble try looking at this.
This is actually the reason I made a new bnet account. I have moved to Korea and wanted to set up a korean account. You can’t change an existing account’s country to Korea, indeed you need to live there to make a Korean account.
I see so no transfer, might start fresh for BC, don’t know yet ^^
Anyway thanks a lot your answers were very helpful
