I get the following error screen when trying to launch through battlenet, only started happening after servers went down for patch 8.2.5.

Trying to launch from within the files folder through the application doesn’t work either.
Hi Gogeta
Can you run the Scan & Repair tool on your WoW installation, and see if that gets things behaving? It looks like the WoW executable may not have updated properly from the error you’re getting. It would also be worth temporarily disabling any security software that you’re running, as that can sometimes prevent the App from updating files properly
I have the same error. All other background applications disabled.
edit
Scan & Repair tool did not help, I still get the error and the game won’t launch.

Launching the game through the app still does not work, but launching the .exe directly from the folder worked.
I have this same error since trying to play today
Apparently somehow there was custom code under:
options => game settings => WoW: BFA.
The “additional command line arguments” was checked with a “nosound” text underneath. Getting rid of that solved my problem.
Scanning did nothing btw, tried that before i found this command line thing.

This worked for a friend that had the same problem.
This seem to have fixed my problem also
