Can't launch WoW

Hi!

Had to re-install Windows (W10) on my computer and after the installation I can’t launch WoW again… game doesn’t launch when I press the “PLAY” button.
It’s starts to load for around 2 sec and then get back to the “PLAY” button again.
Can’t see anything happening in the Task meny either.

I’ve tried almost anything now it seems… followed your steps bellow:

But still no luck…
I can launch Starcraft 2 without any problems, but WoW doesn’t launch.
I have no problems to launch WoW at work.

Also re-installed WoW, deleted all addons, re-installed Blizzard Launcher and all files I could find.

Still no luck…

I’m out of ideas now…

Have you tried to disable background applications and double check if World of Warcraft is added to the exceptions of your security program(s)?

I’ve tried that aswell, also checked that it runs as administrator.
But still no luck…

I don’t have any anti-virus programs installed either.

If I press the “Play” button it goes dark/graymarked and says “Launching…” for around 5 sec and then it just goes back to the blue “Play” button again without the game starting.
No process is shown in the Task-meny either.

So frustrating…

I installed Starcraft 2 just to try and see if it would start and it starts without any problem (as mentioned above). So I guess I don’t lack any drivers either to launch the games I have.

I’ve tried to start WoW at my computer at work and that works fine. So there is no problem with my account it seems.

No, this is never an account issue but something to do with your PC. Could you please post a DXDiag and MSInfo here? If the data is too big to be posted on the forum directly, you can use a page like pastebin.com and post the link to it here then.

I have the exact same problem as described earlier.
Just reinstalled everything on my laptop, all drivers are up to date, and I have DirectX 12. Tried everythingI found on the support page but nothing seems to be working for me either. It wasnt a problem to start the game before the reinstall, and I can start any other game I have on the laptop now.
I hope we can find a solution together now :slight_smile:
