When I try to link a piece of gear or item from my bag in a Real ID chat, it will show up as a string of weird nonsense like “tem:211031:7424::::::80::252:109:5:[Secret-Dredger’s Sabatons]” I shortened it, but there were a bunch of numbers and colons all over the place. This issue doesn’t apply to spells or mounts. But it does apply to gear and items (like consumables, things in your bags, etc.)
In purple whispers it’s like a message with absolutely nothing in it.
In say I get an emote saying I said something unintelligible before I get a red chat error message saying <Chat failed!>.
I disabled all my add-ons to see if that would fix it but it would only be half-fixed. If I disable an add-on called Misspelled I can link items in /s and /w, but Real ID/Bnet messages are still showing nonsense.
Though I feel like add-ons are generally borked right now because I can’t seem to remove some add-ons I don’t want anymore, even if I have removed them in my curseforge, they would still be lurking in my game files or in the add-on list in game. And when I delete them from the game files, they’re still active somehow, while there is no way that should be possible. So generally disabling add-ons to see if it fixes the linking issue is something I can’t do right as I can’t disable or remove add-ons.
