I do have active game time but when trying to log into the game it says “active game time required”.
I found this blue reply from a couple of years ago when a lot of people had this problem. It helped some but not others:
When you have World of Warcraft Classic selected in the VERSION drop down menu, make sure you have the active account selected under the ACCOUNT drop down, also. If you have another account without a subscription selected it will give you this error.

That was actually the problem. Thanks 
Not sure however why this changed. It had been right the whole week Ive been subscribed. Then tonight it must have changed by itself.
