Just happened to me, was randomly logged out to log back in on this character. Only Classic characters are shown in the list to change to… 
This ^ is my Retail character. The issue where you can’t select a Retail character just came back again. I can not select Klomsey on the forums as of current.
It’s 100% at the server/website’s end… same issue on a different phone with a different browser.
Have this problem I got randomly logged out, when i logged back in I can only select Classic SOD characters and none of my retail characters are there. Reset password deleted cookies hasn’t helped.

Hi! World of Warcraft EU Armory site doesn’t work atm. It seems to me that this is quite often the case. Could you please fix once and for all? Thank you

Just checked and armory still broken - 500: Internal Server Error. Good thing I can post from retail characters, lets see how long.

As others have already mentioned, the armory page has not been working for several days now. Was hoping to see it back up with the weekly reset but unfortunately, it’s still broken.
It’s been a few days now, I am still unable to select a Retail character on the forums… 
EDIT: Works again now all of a sudden. I can select my Retail account. Yay!

7.11.2024 I logged to the forum to post about the 11.0.7 PTR change for Frostfire Mage.
To my surprise I can’t select any of my TWW characters, notably my mage Gryffman, to post as, only WoW Classic characters.
I am also unable to post in the 11.0.7 feeeback section - I have some feedback on the PTR.
I expect you to fix this problem, allow me to post on my main om the forum and allow me to post in the 11.0.7 PTR section.
None of my Retail chars exist according to blizzard. As now im also posting from my Cata char. Been like this for days. And because of this my Raider io page is also empty and my WoWThing site is all messy. So annoying.
Same problem as many others here - I only see my classic character in the roster on the forums, none of my retail characters.
I tried all the methods Blizz Support and other forum users suggested; cache and cookies were cleared, tried another browser, tried logging out, resetting my password and then logging back in, so now I’m doing the last step Blizzard suggests; posting here, on the Customer Support forums about it.
Hopefully it can be fixed or just goes back to normal like it seemed to, for others.
Still can’t see my Retail characters. Amory also is broken. There is even post on Reddit about it:

Can’t see my chars. Can’t see other people chars. Constant 404 error on armory page. Do you actually hire people that know what they’re doing or just incompetent people with pretentious work experience?
