Can't queue for specific BfA dungeons

Hello there,
I’ve recently returned to WoW after taking a break during Legion. Me and my wife are currently rushing through BfA content. The problem we encountered is that when we want to queue for a specific BfA dungeon in Dungeon Finder we always get the message “Role unavailable for some dungeons” and the “Join as party” button is grayed out.
We can queue separately , but not when we’re in a party. Also, when in a party we can queue for random dungeons - just not specific ones. We’re around 90 ilvl.
This concerns all BfA dungeons, both normal and heroic.

So far we’ve tried:

  1. disabling all addons
  2. clearing cache
  3. deleting WTF folder
  4. syncing quests

Both WoW and Battle.net client are up to date.

We are both lv 50 so I don’t think it has something to do with Chromie time.
Also I play a hunter and my wife a warlock, so we both can only queue as DPS.

I’ve opened a ticket but the response didn’t help.

I know it is probably not going to be the reason, but just double check that you are not both queuing as tank or healer, as there can only be one of those classes in any dungeon.

when you mouse-over the join button when it’s greyed out, does it say something?
At least when the specific ones are locked, there’s a tooltip.

We’re playing hunter and warlock, so that’s not the issue here :slight_smile:

When I mouse-over the join button the tooltip says “Role unavailable for some dungeons”. Also next to the DPS role icon there’s an exclamation mark, which reads “This role is not qualified for one or more of the selected dungeons. For those dungeons, you will be queued only for your qualified role”.

OK now I’m just guessing, but have you both specifically pre-selected the DPS role?
Have you also tried disbanding the group and re-grouping?

We’ve tried with both -pre selected DPS and “No role”. We’ve also tried re-grouping and switching leaders - it makes no difference. I’m at a loss here, especially since we can queue random dungeons without any issues.

We are aware of this issue and it has been passed along to be looked into.
Sometimes players may receive this message when they do meet all the required criteria and should be able to queue for the instance.

Hi, are there any news regarding my problem? It’s still there and I’m we’ll be having the same issue in Shadowlands…

I have the same problem now . I bought all gear for the required ilevel and now this.
