Can't start levelling in Cataclysm? (Retail)

I made a new Vulpera and picked Cataclysm with Chromie’s timewalking, thinking it would be fun to level a Shaman in that expansions story. Chromie sends me to the warchief’s Command Board, where there are only quests for Barrens, Ashenvale and Hellfire Peninsula. No quest for Hyjal nor any of the other zones. So I flew to Hyjal the old fashioned way and there are no quests and the mobs are all ?? level.

Am I misunderstanding how Chromie time works? I thought you could level in any expansion you felt like these days at any level?

Is Chromie time just not working?

And before anybody says it, yes the event is faster, i just wanted to quest on a new alt

update: it does give me quests to start BfA and Shadowlands so some of it is working? But really not feeling like replaying those at the moment

There’s a level requirement to cataclysm zones
For the purpose of chromie time “Cataclysm” covers vanilla zones as well as cata zones (likely bc of the whole “remaking the world”-thing that happened with the cata expansion). So you wanna go level a bit in Barrens or Ashenvale before you can get quests in hyjal/deepholm etc
