Can't start questing in Twilight Highlands [Horde]

There are no starting quest to send me to Twilight Highlands.
The base in the zone itself is frozen. Can’t interact with any NPC.

I did all other Cataclysm zones with a level 80 toon.

Machines of War from Eitrigg in Grommash Hold

 

I took a level 80 who had never done any of the Cata stuff, and pieced together the following sequence from comments. Then found the right storyline on Wowhead. Thank you Wowhead, and Wowhead commenters! (And acknowledging an assist from Redditors.)

The Twilight Highlands sequence for Horde starts well camouflaged, with a quest Machines of War from Eitrigg in Grommash Hold. Notice how well disguised it is - no mention of Twilight Highlands at all. This is the sequence in which I took the quests from there:

  1. Machines of War
  2. Weapons of Mass Dysfunction
  3. Sauranok will point the way
  4. Unfamiliar Waters
  5. Where is my Warfleet
  6. Ready the Ground Troops
  7. Ready the Navy
  8. Ready the Air Force
  9. Smoot’s Samophlange
  10. Pre-Flight Checklist
  11. Beating the Market
  12. Twilight Skies
  13. Twilight Skies (yes, again!)(flight takes forever)
  14. Stalled Negotiations
  15. Emergency Aid
  16. Madness
  17. Dangerous Compassion
  18. Negotiations Terminated

and at that point, you are in Twilight Highlands and can just follow the quests until you open the NPCs and portal.

This is the storyline, pretty much exactly as I did it, but you have to look down the page a bit to get to the Horde side:

Once I was on the storyline, it was quite straightforward, The problem was recognizing that Machines of War leads to Twilight Highlands.

Ugh.

If Rokhan is there, your character must be in the … BfA phase of Orgrimmar? Maybe Shadowlands?

Sorry, but the devs have superimposed so many phases on Stormwind and Orgrimmar that I have no idea how to disentangle them.

If you have any BfA or Shadowlands quests, you could try dropping them, leaving Org, log out and log in, and returning to see if it helps. But probably not. :frowning:

I think I do have some intro quests in my log from other expansions.

But I don’t wanna look into it, I have my allied toon that will get the lore achivement done.
