Can't update wow

Hi. This is a report of a problem that may or may not be a common issue in windows 10.

Basically, I can’t update the game at the moment, the launcher reports that something went wrong with a file (BLZBNTAGT00000840).

Upon closer inspection, I found that system is keeping the file wow.exe locked, process explorer shows that system has two file handles opened for whatever reason and closing the file handle via process explorer fails with “The handle is invalid” - I most likely won’t be able to close file handles from system.

I already ran into this problem a while back and restarting the computer helped (I try to not restart my computer too often though, hence the troubleshooting).

I’m basically reporting this so you have it logged as it may actually be a general issue with win10 doing something stupid or just being a general piece of crap that it seems to be lately.

Edit: a quick follow-up to confirm that restarting actually worked.

Yeah, the restart worked well enough, I’m just pointing out a problem for which it would be nice to know the root cause, if it becomes more frequent, since restarting my computer each time wow tries to update (often) sounds terribly annoying.
