For me the “Breaking News” is not visible anymore, but the issue is also not fixed yet. (for anyone else who happens to not be able to see it either). I cannot call this “solved”
The client banner states it was to be fixed by the 03:00 - 04:00 CEST maintenance, evidently it wasn’t.
Nope, still not solved. Neither faction change nor level boost work.
The two things are separate issues, we unfortunately don’t have an easy way to have that displayed more clearly.
- Tokens are still disabled.
- The maintenance that happened last night was to fix the server issues (lag, disconnects, etc.).
We don’t have an update for the when Tokens will be reactivated, but that should hopefully be soon.
Thank you for the clarification! When you say, ‘tokens’, presumably that issue also captures the problem of already-purchased character services not working in the character menu? Cheers
Correct.
I’m referring to in-game services that you activate via a token (and not the WoW Token itself).
any ETA please ? i purchased a lvl 80 enhanced boost yesterday and the excitement is fading slowly
Also, the notification about tokens not being activate:able doesn’t show up on my launcher, nor does it show up on the page where you buy the tokens. It only shows up on the support page on blizzard website.
And the only reason why I’m not crashing out right now is because an actual human game master responded in the thread
So blizzard might want to add the warning notification to the store page aswell, to prevent people from having negative experience (it might make them not buy more character services tokens as a principle, so this is free economic tip to blizzard higher ups))
Can you not put up that Character Services are not available at this time due to Legion:Remix ? Does this mean I’ll have to wait 101 days to be able to use the level 80 character boost that I got with the Midnight Expansion ?
Suuurely not, that would be insane - many of us bought the boost, or the new expansion, after the launch of remix and there was no such warning.
Hello,
I bought the game last night and haven’t been able to use this boost since then. Is there an ETA for when this will be available? Do errors like this happen often in WoW?
@ Cragu The boosts as far as I am aware were working fine before the Legion: Remix. So one would assume that something with Legion: Remix broke them.
@ Joshua More often than they would like to admit.
Was your message serious about waiting over 100 days because of Legion to use the character level 80 boost service? If so i want my money back.
Ridiculous, where did I end up here…
I will just say that my past experiences with problems with the game after patches is not positive. (Issues with Guild Achievements with MOP-Remix, and the Legion: Rogue Order Hall with Dragonflight Pre-patch to name just two). And yes I can see the current issue not being resolved until after the Legion:Remix has finished.
@Faether yeah good point
@Joshua yes, I’ve been playing for 18 years and searching for info on the latest service problem is part of the game. You will come to love it as a feature, not a bug.
we demand estimated time blizzard, we are waiting for more than a day for a service to be enabled . why did you let me buy it in first place if i can’t use it
Will someone from Blizzard provide an answer to this? Or what should I do now? I think getting my money back will be difficult. How long will it take until I reach level 80 as a new player? It would be stupid if I started leveling all day and the service was released anyway, and I wasted more time unnecessarily.
I’d say just doing something else for the day and check back on the client banner or this forum every so often. No point waiting around, could be days yet - we don’t even know if they know what the problem is yet. We both know you don’t want a refund, you just want that BOOST, which you’ll be able to do within hours or days. You could get a refund but you’ll need to go through the one-on-one customer service rigamarole.
@Joshua If the character boost was part of the Midnight Expansion I do not think you’ll be able to get a refund because you obtained the pets/mounts and all the other eye candy that came with it. You might be able to get a refund if it was a stand alone Character Boost. I wish you good luck with this endeavor.
Yes, you’re right. I’d rather have the boost than my money back. But it’s a real shame there’s no information about this when I bought the game. Just a popup that the boost isn’t currently working would have been enough. Thanks for the help and the reply.
