This whole hc thing really was “you think you do but you don’t” moment for me, got to 53 and I’m gonna be proud of that.
There is nothing new in the game, we’ve seen it all way too many times, dungeons, raids, all of it. Even if you reach 60 then what? Nothing. Void. Boring raids and dungeons.
There is no pvp besides makgora which is a meme fiesta and gear swap/engi twinking, leveling in the middle of the duel shouldn’t be allowed but it is.
Can’t wait for SOD, don’t need to spend 5 months of my free time to level to 60 and can actually get pvp/new content.
The only thing that I really liked about HC is the lack of bots and decent prices on the AH, but even that seems to be getting worse, people say there are actual bots out there.
Also losing all your gold upon death sucks so much, or getting your bank char griefed, it kills all the willpower to start over. I do understand why you lose it but I wouldn’t mind if that wasn’t the case. If there was a secure bank or anything.
the S stands for Season, meaning SOD comes to an end, are they letting players keep characters ? where classic era ?

Play retail. That’s the game for you. SoD will be a clown fest, Blizzard misses again. Retail 2.0 is not what Classic players wanted. We wanted Classic+ while maintaining the immersiveness and MMORPG aspect of Classic. Retail players like you will probably think you want it, but you really don’t. Hopefully it’ll just be a circus of testing until they remove all the idiotic things from SoD like exp boost, healing mages and rogue tanks. Homogenously stupid by Actiblizzard, but they’re specialists in failure so not really surprising.
You come from the future and already played it?
I agree mage healers and tank rogues are stupid, but it’s still new classic content, I like the lvl cap on 25 and the new bfd raid idea, the new spells too.

I have fun in HC. More fun than in many years. Finally death final on this server. Like my prevferred IronMan style. And you can transfer, so not all lost. Of course I go test SoD, but without great expectation. I expect it to be race - meta, zug-zug to dungeon/raid, not slow testing of Discoveries. Everything datamined, meta’ed and addonn’ed on day one. If you think this fun, then welcome to it. I guess I stay HC.

I’m more hopeful for sod than you are, I guess. One thing is for sure, I don’t want to level to 60 on hc where nothing awaits me.
For me The levelling journey is game
