Cap on flightstones is a poor thought out idea

Hi All… We know FS is now the building block of gear upgrade system and we need them to upgrade any gear from 378 - 440+. And with our gear dropping from anywhere we are never sure when we might get the piece we want.

In such a scenario The 2000 cap on flight stones is a bad idea. Last 2 weeks we had lots of campaign quests that rewarded FS and so did our inflow of FS was fast that we hit the cap “too soon” but then i had no gear to spend it on so i just let it be. Now this week i did do content (Raids WQs and other stuff) and due to the cap I couldn’t get any FS. Im sure i missed out on 500-1000 FS

Now i have gear that needs upgrading, I spent my FS on 3-4 pieces and now i need more FS but i have already done this weeks content. So either i need to spam dungeons which rewards less FS or i need to wait till next week

Seriously how is this ok? why put a cap on FS? This is like the valor points all over again where you had a cap and thought it was a bad idea and removed it. So why put a cap now??

I never actually ran out of them but I don’t understand why it has a cap at all.

I’m not struggling to maintain my 2k cap with flightstones on my main. I guess it depends what content you do.

Flightstones come from looting outdoor treasures, world quests, weekly events, dungeons, and raids.

My alts have next to none because they don’t do any content outside of being my profession army.

It would have been kinder to have a higher cap to allow players to collect those wasted stones or simply no cap, because what does it really matter.

Hi puny, thanks for pointing out. yes they could have been kinder to have the cap up to atleast 5k or just remove it. because putting a cap on it is like wasting players time.

They are utterly pointless.

It’s not like valor points at all.

You can earn flightstones by doing a dungeon. With valor once you were capped you were capped.

I agree the cap is pointless, as is the currency but its kinda irrelevant, you can play the game and get them guaranteed.

A friend held back on doing the quests on an alt, that’s not really ideal IMO. Seems silly.

Currently doing the same for my 437 no player made groups project.

I get why they put the cap in, it’s a new system that works opposite to the old one and you want players to spend instead of hoard early on unlike with Valor, but it definitely creates some less desirable situations later on once players have their adventurer / veteran gear upgraded and are slowly trying to acquire champion drops.

Worste thing is that u need to spend em when capped to get progress on 20k flightstone achivement.

That is what im doing right now… spamming dungeons. But i had a point where i did content and because i was capped i missed out on a huge chunk of them.

sad design where you do content and you dont get rewarded and then u need to do content to get much lesser FS… seems very tedious and a bad design

I get why they did it but it’s definitely not a necessary part of the system long term, should have been removed after the first 1-2 weeks once people got into their head that they are supposed to spend flight stones when they get them.
