Hello there, here a post to ask Blizzard to improve the use and the presence of players in the capital cities. We have many capitals unused, only Orgrimmar and Stormwind are lively besides the current BfA capitals Dazar Alor and Boralus, which are going to be forgotten as soon as Oribos is added. I’d like to see a major use also of the others citie (Silvermoon, Thunder Bluff, Ironforge, Mechagon, Bilgewater, Thunder Totem, Suramar, Vindicaar, Dalaran, Shattrath, …). So here I ask everyone to add your ideas for rendering all the capital cities interesting. My suggestion is to open the bank, the action house, the transmogrify or the barber shop every week or every three days in a different city and keep them closed on the others while they are open on that city. Players could have “cities hearthstones” to move there when they wish or use the new portal systems in Orgrimmar or Stormwind depending on faction. Also Blizzard could add some daily to be played inside the capitals or around them giving rewards like gold, experience or pvp medals. What do you think ?
I think such a plan would just make players confused. What they do need to do is add all of the services of Orgrimmar to each capital city and redesign the city/give them makeovers a bit so that all of these services are close together and easy to find. I tried to find the auction house in Thunder Bluff recently, it turned out it was inside a tiny tent!
If this was cataclysm, I would agree with you that all the cities should have some use. I wouldn’t make it so that only one’s AH can be used, rather I’d create a unique benefit to using each city. Ironforge banks could have extra space, stormwind can keep the portal room and so on… but that would be in cata when each playable race minus goblins had a clear city location that could be used. But in BFA, there are far too many cities and with allied races thrown in the mix and undercity & teldrassil being destroyed, races have lost their city identity.
I tend to use TB as my main place to go to for AH and Bank services rather than Org most of the time. I just find the place is much easier to get around, especially with flying.
@OP, players are always going to congregate in one place or another and the many things Blizz have introduced over the years has done nothing to ameliorate the situation. If you tried to ‘force’ people to one or the other capital city, even for a short period, you would only cause resentment amongst the playerbase.
I understand but it’s proper because there are so many, that it’s a pity that we use only 4. Players could be directed to the daily city via quest like the weekly pvp or pve quests that we receive
We used to have daily quests in each different city based on professions but most people went and got their dailies over and done with and then went back to Org and Stormwind or the new expac capitals.
I understand where you are coming from but it’s just not going to work.

Until all cities are made equal, players will continue to converge in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. I’d love to use Silvermoon but it’s just not practical
Silvermoon is just the worst due to no flying! So lovely but absolutely annoying being there.
Well I wouldn’t object to flying being added too 
I just find it a much prettier city than Orgrimmar.
I think pretty much anyone that isn’t an Orc or Troll agrees here. The spikes and huts decor gets old fast.

Make story quest, events (Noblegarden as example) and all other quests that can be picked up in Ogrimmar/Stormwind linked to capital of your race.

Make auction house free to use at capital of your race.

Give every race additional hearthstone that will take them to their capital (similar to Dalaran Hearthstone from Legion).

“We want to continue updating the old world while also trying to figure out where the artists time is best spent. We don’t want to completely overhaul the cities right now, maybe in the future.”
Personally I’d love to see Stormwind updated more than any other of the cities. To have it be as vast, sprawling and detailed as Boralus would be awesome.
Also Ironforge updated would be awesome.
