Shadow Word Death crit me for 1800 damage, that’s 90% of my HP (Warrior)
Starsurge hit me for 1100 damage, not even a crit.
Mages are just, insanity. Frostbolt shatter will kill you immediately.
Lava Burst, 1200 fire damage crit + A chance to proc an extra Lava Burst.
These players aren’t even geared, this is just the baseline the damage will only go up.
I’m guessing Warlocks hit like trucks, too. No idea, haven’t had one hit me yet.
Edit - Haunt hit me for 527damage, none crit. Don’t wanna know about Chaos Bolt.
But, the scaling just is so off. You can’t even fight back, the damage is simply insane. Sort it out, and quickly.

Most people got full bfd gear . Difference in SP from items isnt that high when comparing bfd to gnomer . Caster wont get that much stronger with gear.
But meeles , they will, they will get new weps with tons of extra dps, all the stats and also health will increase a lot for most .
Wait few weeks and it will be wars rogues and druids dominating casters

He is actually not wrong regarding his topic. PvP wise I mean.
Im fine with casters getting stronger in PvE, but range + insane dmg burst does not make for a stable pvp scene.
Having said all that, and just to be fair. Some of the melee do kind of the same once they reach you. Especially Assa rogue, who as a physical kills me in bearform as if I had absolutely no armor.
In fact, the last spec that gets punished by armor atm is probably Feral Druid, I could be biased, and I certainly can hit hard, but the comparison is not even close.

Already almost got onehit by warriors, ferals and rogues its not just casters.
Bro let shaman be good at dps for once. both enhancer and ele was dogwater in P1. imagine nerfing them immediately…
Never care or worry about PvP.

They’re kinda forcing it in this, though. They’re basing best in slot gear around PvP events, then creating a ridiculous PvP balancing situation.
“Just get to them” <— This, is not possible without being a stealth class. You die before you get half way there. The damage is ok, affliction warlocks for example, you lose, but you lose slowly. The BURST damage with no cast time, is a huge, huge issue. It’s 1800 damage with NO COUNTERPLAY available. Can’t interupt it, can’t reflect it, can’t absorb it.

Normally if my wep did not come from the event, or bis/close to bis gear. Id say w/e, and literally not do it after the first STV event.
But since that’s not the case…
Never did the ashenvale event or WSG.
Still got 95-99 logs in BFD.
If they do decide to add very good items behind a PvP so you can’t get 90 logs without such items… then we’ll just quit?

Finally someone that mentions how bollocks the damage has become for casters in PvP, you will never touch a caster unless they play like a monkey. Especially druids/shamans. Either hard nerf caster damage output, or do the sensible thing and give ret a movement speed rune of 40% aslong they attack with Judgement/Exo/AS. Literally worst mobility out of melee.

Already have seen shadowworddeath clapping people in two as if they arent even trying. 1.2k at 40.
You can complain about balance druid critting for 1k with most op spell in the entire game aka Starsurge, but mages are just pathetic in PvP, they have 1400 hp at most at level 40 when every other class has 2k or more, also the mage set gives -20 stamina. Absolutely every class in the game especially rogue/balance/shaman/hunter is one shotting any mage anytime.

Mages though have protection, they have CC, mobility (legit, multiple CCs), control, huge shields that absorb crazy damage (mana shield, for example)… they also hit like absolute trucks and have the benefit of range.
Melee have none of that. Warriors are 100% reliant on having 2 healers training heals into them to live, and to dispell.

300 dmg mana shield absorb(ONLY PHYSICAL) for the cost of 600 mana is a lot of dmg absorb according to you ? Ice barrier is 1 min cd and can be purged dispelled so its a useless skill. Idk shaman frost shock u 1 melee hit and u are dead for example, rogues kill mages in 1.5 sec with 3 mutilates you cant even act to blink.

Well, first off that’s 3 globals that’d be 4.5 seconds and if you can’t blink in that timeframe you are a sloth.
It’s not 300 absorb, it’s 960 absorb (which is TWICE as much as a priest specced into shield, FYI, that is dispellable, too). Mages are a top tier flag carried in WSG, that’s how hard they are to pin down… If they were squishy, that would not be the case. Stop derailing the thread with your delusions.
