It wasn’t exactly great before but now?
They changed the talent that made Vivify instant every 10 seconds.
We rely even more on stationary hardcasting through Soothing Mist and we no longer have any way to instantly deal with a big burst of pressure outside of cooldowns.
So lame. Prepare to see even more Fistweavers than before this season because the caster playstyle is barely playable.

People complain about fistweaver, hardnerf Caster by giving MW a melee T set and make insta heal cast only working for rwk user
Bevor you could be a “normal” range healer but ATM. I think Fisteaving is the only Specc left that works
(Btw. You can still stand in the back max range and RWk into the air for the procc, you don’t need too hit a target)

They really need to remove the GCD they added to Soothing Mist back in BFA.
And FW is doing 1m dps. 
And I’m not a FOTM reroller. I’ll play my garbage spec as usual but it’s depressing how they take something away every single patch.
I just wish they made two different specs so that both could be designed properly. This is a mess.
I really liked instant vivify too…
This was the missed opportunity to make this talent point a " choice node "
Separate the Mist weaving and the Monkey fisting into two talents :
Instant vivify for weave with internal timer
Kick into vivify, so the cd is tied to windkick
But yhea there you have it… expect more monkeys playing fistweaver, because of course it’s the only dynamic gameplay you can have now. The class tree funnels you so hard into it.

Edit: I mean I am happy with my Sheilun’s Gift and all but, why not spice it up a bit now that we have lost Chi wave to the fistweave cult. I loved AoE hotting people with it back in the WoD RBGs.
Hey, if we’re going to have WoD stuff back, I’d rather pick Hurricane Strike on my Windwalker. I actually didn’t play with Chi Explosion at all back then, I thought it made the gameplay too slow because it depleted all your Chi at once. Also, Hurricane Strike was dealing big damage and was so satisfying to use.
On my Mistweaver, I didn’t play with Chi ex either, I used to pick Pool of Mists.
I was always just a raw caster at heart.

Pool of Mists was hilarious in WoD.
You had 3 charges of Rising Sun Kick, so you could swap to Serpent Stance > Jab > RSK > Chi Brew x2 off GCD > RSK > RSK and destroy a DPS player on your own.
In Dragonflight season 1, we had BOTH Ring of Peace AND Song of Chi’ji. That’s gone too!
Zen Focus Tea is passive now for some reason, and baked into TFT even though TFT gives us instant cast charges? So what’s the point of having a silence immunity during my “instant cast spam” window? So lame, so lame.
They just keep screwing us over, again and again and again and it’s exhausting.

That’s so true, it had all gone down into the great ability pruning purge back in the day. All of it was thrown under the bus.
Honestly I still don’t understand how the reckless devs who executed that program got away with it. We know who it was, not a secret. They literally “killed the game” for years. It barely became playable in dragonflight again, when Microsoft’s lawyers due-dilligenced him/them into stopping being such a drag on the game.
See that’s what I think we have truely lost… game devs who have an understanding of class design, originality and charm. Nowadays, if you don’t send them a grey faced dude with a suit and a wallet full of legal jargon they keep going on and on with their crap.
What do I know, there is enough advice in this sole thread to restore the former glory of mistweavers back to its pinacle.
And That’s why on Fistweaver all that’s left is big damage and healing
So if people complain we need stuff back to do something beside that
Just split the specs already, like Holy and Disc.
I’ve been playing a bit more since making this thread and it’s just awful, the last time I felt that useless in PvP was during Shadowlands season 1, before they introduced the PvP talent that allows us to teleport while stunned and everybody was just destroying Mistweavers immediately once their trinket was gone.
