Here again fellas, to address the elephant in the room yet again.
Casters, (besides priest who have the shield), have an enormous disadvantage with casting pushback in PvP, and this is not about not getting good or anything, its just how things are. I refuse to play the wowhead builds that rely on instant casts to be able to be viable, meanwhile every class can kite our casts with instants and we cant do anything while we cant cast caus of LoS. Its just ridiculous how this works, classes with casts essentially cannot play the game.
Anyone else feeling the same about pushback and LoS? Would be interested to hear more opinions on this.

Damn, I wonder what the hundreds of thousands of casters were doing in Vanilla.
Cannot be that big of an issue since mage was one if the strongest pvp classes in vanilla.
Ive always played caster classes in classic and never had an issue with pushback. Because honestly: if u are getting hit several times by a melee as a caster in pvp then you gotta do something different anyway.
What are u playing? Warlock i guess? And u are facing the biggest issue with pushbacks against rogues i assume?
Some speccs have interruption prevetions in higher lvl, the theme on the forum is that ppl forgets this is lvl 25 it seems. Please think long term, what do classes have or not, at this lvl your class will not be “complete”.
Fire mages seems very viable atm so if thats continue they for example have a talent to have a chance to ignore pushback.

Mage, and the biggest problems are hunters actually.
They changed this in wotlk. Go play that
i play ele shamy dps is crap , evryone runs out of spell range , if i cast my spell timer drops
back. for pvp not playable.

See, not pushback is the problem, hunters are. Hunter is so absurdly overpowered it’s just stupid. Even warlock seems balanced compared to hunter pets. Without pushback other classes would have a problem, hunters would still kill you in seconds, or rather the pet will.
Hunters need to be nerfed hard, together with warlock and priest healing.
OP if you are serious and not trolling, my advice for you would to go quest in Elwynn Forrest. This is safer for you. Although you shouldn’t underestimate the pushback some of those wolves there have on casters.
If you even have to ask this question of whether i am serious or not, you have massively missed the point.
The problem is not the pushback per se, there is a broader point to be made here, which is that many classes are at a massive disadvantage when they run cast builds.
This is not flaming because i cant play, im playing just fine. The point is elsewhere friend.
You generally don’t get to hardcast much in classic in PvP, only when you’re able to “freecast”. Especially at lower levels. Being able to get a whole cast off is generally one of those “oh damn, I’m gonna win!” moments, for the most part.
That’s why each spell feels more impactful in classic, unlike in retail where you’re kinda flinging fireballs left and right but they don’t feel like FIREBALLS. It’s just a different playstyle, very classic.
Edit: Let me give you an example. I’m feral, so I’m doing melee damage for the most part. Sometimes I’ll shift and hot, but that’s not very efficient. However, sometimes I will risk shifting out to land a root, then I’ll risk even further to hardcast a Healing Touch. If I succeed, it’s one of those “DAAAAMN, I got this!” moments.

Instant casts have always been the PvP meta since wow began, how about you try to fit into the meta of the game instead of complaining all the casters aren’t standing still turret casting.
You have a viable PvP build, if it is not to your taste, reroll.
