Casters meta with free Precog is unpleyable for meles

and then some melee is like “u have so many instants”

It’s only melees on low rating and only casters on high rating. People are right, we are in a caster meta rn. Game is infested with destro and boomer. Sp is also suprisingly strong, I should prolly read the patch notes at some point to understand why… :man_facepalming:

I’ve only played a handful of lobbies for a quick 2k1 push, but starting MMR was 2100+, so all lobbies I played were between 2100-2400 MMR and so far It’s been 3 or 4 casters per lobby almost every single time.

Melees are not weak though, as seen in the 3v3 bracket, they just require more teamwork and coordination rn, while most casters just stand max range and put on their M+ cosplay, therefore they fall short in the shuffle environment, especially if they end up in a triple caster lobby, due to them just getting dragged around and bullied like a target dummy.

Only glad peps at 1900 rating, it’s only x2 spellcasters atleast i can cleave down healer close to caster as frost dk.

It does not make frost good its joke specc.

Precog exists because the game was unplayable for casters.

It’s a bandaid fix at best.

The issue is that there are too many interrupts, mini stuns, normal stuns, gap closers, automatically applying snares and melee mobility in general. In short, QoL was taken too far. Try kiting a warrior, you won’t succeed.

Sorry, but Shadow is now a training dummy in solo shuffle against two melees.

What MMR you talking about? From my experience, shadow is pretty nutty rn. Their presure is absurd and they have good def cds on top, plus good overall utility. High MMR is infested with them.

Melee need mobility stripped back big time, melee damage is insane right now too, arms, ww (hit 225k by a ww btw.) Unholy dk, dh all pumping rn.

Casters need to cast again, but fixes need to happen for melee first otherwise casters without precog are not playing the game.

Yeah they run you down but positioning is a big thing for spriest since lack of mobility, and you can now punish melee overextending with a dots into void torrent with precog, hits pretty hard. Spriest rn just feels like a decent skill cap to play at a high level, mainly because of no mobility but your kit is great. I think spriest rn is very balanced.

Just had a game where out of the gates I popped all my CDs on someone getting focused by a dk and warrior.

They let me freecast, with guardian spirit up and I just about managed to keep even with it for the duration of GS.

The guy still died. Less than 20 seconds into the round. Why is this even a thing that you can outdamage the healing that early if you don’t stop the healer from casting?

Sry cutie, but i remember times during SL when you were oneshotting ppl on ww with bonedust, while typing 30 k word essays here how it was fine. You are as biased as it can get.

Your goldfish memory won’t erase the fact that you are on par with ret players who were defending their spec, before it got nerfed.

Well, destro got some nerfs:

  • Call Observer now has 8% of the Warlock’s health (was 20%).
  • Destruction
    • Incinerate damage reduced by 10% in PvP Combat.
    • Shadowburn damage increased by 45% in PvP Combat (was 65%).
    • Developers’ notes: Destruction’s sustained DPS in PvP especially with instant casts is higher than we’d like. We feel Chaos Bolt is in a good state, so we’re targeting other areas of the kit to bring down their DPS.

Let’s see if it’s enough for fotm rollers to move on next spec.

Precog was added because melee have too much mobility. It’s as simple as that.

Precog is absurdly broken, it needs to be removed or heavily nerfed (like half duration and remove the haste). A double kick, or god forbid the occasional failed kick, should never reward for example the destro lock with getting to kill someone for free with three chaos bolts.

Or if you wanna keep adding BS effects to the game, something needs to be added for melees to counter wizard afk pve dmg.

Just run into melee with them and scream “ZUG ZUG” and mash your face on the keyboard and they die. Melee deals unhealable damage as well.

I mean I was and I was gm as tank main lol. Tanks make room, dps make the plays.

Both need tuning, like i stated, but get rid of precog and only melee is playable.

Was expecting way worse, love destro feels really fluid to play right now so happy it didn’t get gutted.

As soon as 1600 players start doing double destro in 3’s you expect it to get gutted lol.

And because melee classes have 4-5 ways of stopping casters from casting, on a rotation without real cooldowns.

At the moment the only way to play meele or meelecleave is hit and run strat. You cannot hold W and chase the guy into castercleaves for sure. Into meele + caster probably but into castercleave - you go in burst and then hug the pillar till the next one and eventually hit whatever is close if it goes out of the position. THis season is rough for meeles but hey last one was opposite early in the season. I think that some people have to figure out meta again. Also this new Embelishment for meeles push for this burst and run playstyle.
