Hello adventurers!
I love the more difficult content in the game, like raids and dungeons on high difficulties. However, I find it very difficult to find like-minded players when PUGging.
Usually casual players who play just for fun only play easier content and the harder content is played by more hardcore players who begin to treat it less like a game and more like a serious thing or esports. This usually involves using a lot of 3rd party things like all kinds of addons, logging, sims, etc. as well as chasing the meta and requiring that everyone else does these things too.
I am someone who plays at the level of being able to clear HC raids and get Keystone Legend and am interested in getting into Mythic raiding. However, I am also someone who is very chill and casual about the game in other aspects. I don’t do logging, sims, don’t use combat addons, weakauras, etc. and don’t really care about these things either. My stance is: If it’s not in the game, it should be completely optional.
What I do expect from people (including myself) to come prepared to fights: To bring flasks, potions, food, etc. and to play to their best ability. If we clear some bosses and dungeons, great! If not… well, we had fun playing the game together.
I am looking for people who’d be interested in playing the game in a similar way: Doing difficult content casually, just for fun. Would any of you be interested in something like this?

It’s hard to find casual players that want to push higher content, would be nice to play with likeminded people.

I am very interested in this, i find it hard myself finding a permanent position for a tank as most spots are taken as people stick to the same group and only ever really look for dps, ive cleared HC and do mythic dungeons a lot, I am good under preassure and alwasy come prepared for raids with knowing tactics for bosses and flasaks etc. if youre willing to take me on your adventure id love it!

Sounds great. I think it’s nice how people actually want to have fun in a game made without the addons included.

Potentially interested in this on my raiding toons - how are you thinking of organising it, e.g. guild?

Hello! Thank you for your interest! Probably guild, perhaps community.
If you go with a community, it’d be handy if you posted any discord etc details here. I’d be up for this to get away from the usual unpredictability of pugs, especially with the lockout IDs on mythic raids, which can be very annoying if you get locked to a raid but don’t kill enough bosses for the vault.

Hello people!
Quick update in case you’ve been wondering what’s up: I’ve been busy in real life, then got sick and while I did play some WoW I wasn’t really in the mood of doing “management” stuff. I’ve also been making plans/concepts for a project in another game. And there’s a bunch of IRL stuff I’ll have to deal with again.
That being said, this idea is still on the table, both for Mythic raiding and for high Mythic+ keys. If there are news, they will be posted here. (Most of the playerbase is busy with Legion Remix currently anyways. :D)
Hey!
I was in the exact same boat as you so I made a guild, < The Filthy Casuals >!
We’ve just begun our Mythic adventure and its a place for people who want to do the highest possible content even when life gets in the way!
Hi! Well, your guild seems to be different than what I am envisioning though. You have 800+ members in less than a year, which makes me think you are spamming invites to everyone.
I am specifically looking to invite only people who want to do the high level content, perhaps only the team we’d do the Mythic raid with. So more of a team guild than an “everyone can join” guild.
I see how that may look and yes, we welcome everyone to the community but have a specific set of requirements for our Mythic raids in form of a Raider+ rank, this is all handled by the officers, we even have a fancy spreadsheet for it.
Our main raids are for those that want to take raiding a tad more serious where our super casual raids are held on a Sunday and are called our “Community Run” which everyone and anyone are welcome to.
I love your vision though and wish you the best of luck with it!
