I’m clueless on this topic but does the world revamp happen on pre-patch or on release? I want to go into Cata on a new toon but I’ve leveled through classic era leveling more than I can admit and it’s getting tiresome.
New content is usually on release, in pre-patch we get those stupid questlines.
shame, guess I’ll have to wait a little longer then
Depends, but…the timeline from Blizzcon places Cata pre-patch in the end of the spring, so probably April / May ish.
Thing is…aside from collections UI, guild features (which I translate into guild lvling system) and transmog, which are all more or less cosmetic changes (as opposed to real new content - zones, dungeons, raids etc, which are, by the timeline, placed some time after the prepatch), the timeline also places goblins + worgens with the pre-patch. And it would be rather wierd to let people lvl up goblins and worgens without revmapping at least Darnassus and Orgrimmar (which is where those two races have their bases)…and it would be even more wierd to revmap only those two cities and not the entire world. Which leads me to the conclusion that the pre-patch will bring the revmap…which kisses classic-era lvling goodbye and you’re free to lvl in a Cata way. So imo you don’t have to wait any longer than pre-patch…but I might be wrong.
