Cataclysm and removed final quest chain of Vashj'ir

Boosts for pvp rating, boosts for mounts, boosts for curve (technically still mount but w/e), boosts for m+ achieves, boosts for titles, boosts for open world stuff.

All the while GDKP is you trade your gold for loot and get a cut at the end of the run. Boost for gold = chance you receive zero loot and wasted your gold for nothing.

And before you start again: no I don’t approve or condone either. You do you, as in ‘you’ other players. But yeah RMT is bad for the game overall.

Seems like there is a lot more option for RMT in retail!

Sadly true. Though the token is way more lucrative than in wrath. Few weeks ago you got 400k for one token.

with a 1:45 wotlk/retail you are looking at 15% more gold on retail than wotlk atm, when you buy a token.

Cataclysm is what killed wow, from 15mil+ subs to 1.5-2mil subs, and it never recovered, if they just bring cata like it was it will be the end of classic cept for few servers running vanilla classic. Sure there’s some fanbois that will claim how awesome cata was and kungfu panda, but the truthful reality was that after wotlk the path of “dumbing down” for the casual player was and still is a crapshow… Many didn’t want simplified talent tree’s then nor now and will stop their sub for good if blizz and dev’s still didnt learn, and as it seems it looks the case so…

Wrong, Wotlk peaked at 12m subs in Q3 2010, and ended cataclysm with 10m subs.

MoPs lowest sub count was 7m.

Some of you guys who “imagine” cata being the game-ending destruction of WoW are so beyond delusional its actually quite sad to see you believe it.

WoW hit its peak during ICC and very slowly decreased in population afterwards and it wasn’t until WoD that we saw a “steep” drop.

just stating facts
facts like, mop had more subscribers than vanilla wow.

All expansions have had more subs than vanilla wow.

Most speccs in vanilla are VERY dumbed down tbh, frost mage spamming frostbolt, warlocka only pressing shadowbolt, paladins doing???. Yes talent tree got reworked, but the overall class was more fun and difficult to play.
Cata didnt have 1.5-2m players. It ended with 10m player base, and thats more then vanilla had. Actually Cata peaked with the most players early on.

Its ok to not like cata, but its not a sin that some ppl will enjoy it aswell.

Please provide a source to your claims about sub numbers. Thank you.

9.1 million on August 2 2012, one month before MoP release.

google wow subscriber count

Yeah current pop websites (obviously its hard to find accurate numbers) put current subscriber (retail) counts significantly lower than 8m, which is the peak vanilla sub count.

Maybe Vanilla was more popular than dragonflight.

I mean i know sub numbers on the other hand He apparently does not. I just wanted to make him look for it without being toxic. :frowning:

My mistake, i misread the reply, my apologies.

Apparantly a view alot of people dont share.

Maybe they can grasp it, but they just dont like the zone because its a boring one?

Calling people stupid because they dont like a particular zone is abit cringe though.

Yea, i have seen people trying to navigate while flying/swiming. If you are bad at something it usualy tend to be boring.

That has to be the dumbest arguement you could use

Its only boring cuz you suck at it, there is no other possible explanation. Nope, it has to be your lack of FLYING or SWIMMING skills, that makes the zone boring.

I also find Felwood and dustwallow marsh boring, maybe i just suck at running on mount? Following your logic

Made sense to me
