When will it be possible to play Cataclysm on Beta? Ehh, the chosen ones are certainly lucky, fate has favored them. They were given the opportunity to play. And us, mere mortals, are left only to wait for when the Cataclysm will be released on the PTR servers or straight to the release.
At this point there were a couple of beta invite waves and a ton of people are on every evening… i personally am wondering why they just not open it for everyone to test instead of sticking to invites.

It held my attention for a cpl hours.
Although TBF the beta invite is wasted on me as i’ve just come back after 18 months away and have lots of catching up in WOTLK to do. Someone who has been playing WOTLK all this time would most definately be more appreciative of the Cata beta.

The beta is only for 1-60 testing (You can level to 80) and we are still playing with wotlk ui so if you are not interested in leveling you are not missing out on anything.
LFD is also disabled.
There are a lot of people thinking that the beta is just an early preview but its not even close to that.
