Cataclysm Classic - Cache of the Legion still broken for over a year

Hi,

The Cache of the Legion in Mechanar is still broken. A key is no longer required to open the Cache, it is unlocked automatically when Gatewatcher Gyro-Kill is killed. However, this remains broken despite numerous forum posts and replies.

I have submitted tickets and bug reports in game and still nothing has been done. I have followed every piece of guidance provided in game via web ticket but alas, to no avail so I am once again trying to bring it to someone’s attention here on the forum.

The latest reply I received in game as of a few days ago:

"Hello, X.
I’m Game Master Rothskelsam and I’ve reviewed your request.

I’ve looked into this case and I could see that this bug has been for years. From my end I have no way to contact the devs, but the bug report in-game is the only way our players can contact directly to them. I also know that you did this process but we have to trust that the bug status is being updated accordingly on how it affect players.

I am not a developer and I have zero control over in-game code or mechanics, which is why I am not able to provide you an immediate solution for this, but I request your patience once more to address this case as a bug report again to let the devs know that the issue is still happening and they need to fix the bug for all the affected players. Finally, I also encourage you to submit this case on our forums where our community share their experiences and their feelings about this situation for a better resolution from their end.

I thank you for your understanding in this kind of bug cases where our devs needs to address the problem accurately.
GM Rothskelsam."

This is troubling as I am told that this has been a known bug for years and yet asked for more patience!! Utterly ludicrous. Can someone please just finally fix this damn thing and allowed it to be looted upon killing Gatewatcher Gyro-Kill.

A response I received in game stated, “Your experience matters greatly to us, and we want it to be the best that it can be.” If this is the case - fix the damn thing!

Hello there Megafantesia,

I can confirm this is indeed a known issue still waiting to be addressed.

While I understand how frustrating it can be when long-standing issues go unresolved, they may not always be as simple to fix as it appears and older content can sometimes require a fair bit of investment to untangle the workings of, in order to correct any problems.

Paired with having to weigh that investment against other priorities like more critical bugs, and creating new content, some things may simply have to wait for resources to become available.

I do hope it can still be resolved soon enough now though, and we’ve published a support article here so you can keep up to date on any changes:
