they announced bc and wotlk is after for sure. But whose up for cata? !
i gonna play some hour like iâve played classic to level 54 but i will not play it like i play retails, since i got some memory of my level 20 twinks in pvp :
- explosive shot that could 1 shot at level 20 when combo with 2 arcane shot.
- Exorcism useable on everyone : like in level 20 Holy Paladin was a dps with exorcism
And some more. I just want to remember how i really started WoW in cataclysm.
But i donât regret it since they maked Worgen avaible in the game
!
I honestly donât expect them to keep going beyond Wrath of the Lich King.
Are there even private servers for Cata?
They add too many âClassicâ versions and the classic audience is going to be so spread out that itâll be suicide.
They are talking about a separate BC version, right? With Vanilla Classic WoW still being available?
The whole thing is getting pretty stupid already with the talk about a BC one as well.
Is this a genuine request for Cataclysm servers or is this a troll post (not that I think youâll answer that)? Cataclysm is widely regarded as one of the worst expansions ever.
This is not how it works. There is no âclassic audienceâ. There are different audiences for different stages of the game. The WotLK audience is on private servers. Sure there might be some WotLK fans playing classic and retail, but they are insignificant compared to the audience that is currently not playing on blizzard servers.
Even if it was like you said, it wouldnât be suicide. Iâd imagine that more diversity would keep more players subbed since they can just jump between instances of the game. I know players that jump back and forth between classic and retail when they are tired of one of them. Theyâd just unsub if this possibility didnât exist.
I must have missed something? When & where did they announce that theyâre working on TBC and WOTLK servers?
Hope is a fine thing.
Anyway, sticking to topic. Cata is the expansion that is considered to be the main turning point of WoW, since all the vanilla zones were changed. I highly doubt a âClassicâ Cata would become a thing. Thereâs nothing classic about that expansion. Donât get me wrong, I quite liked Cata but it did change everything.
Canât wait for BFA legacy.
Nothing to do with hope. Iâm not playing classic and I never will play on any classic server they ever release. The comment I answered to was just unrealistic.
Your definition of classic has no impact on what servers might come. When there is big enough of an audience, they will likely come.
Guess and speculate as much as you like. I guess and speculate that once the BC servers launch, Vanilla Classic will be a wasteland.
One step at a time, yeah?
From my experience : Itâs way easier to find functionnal MoP server than Cata, even if I do think it was a good expac.
Besides, the most popular expac at this day is Wotlk, by miles.
Nice try Ion
they will be going infinite.
why wouldnt they when its literaly free cash for them
There are a fair few (i wont name any) but there is one in particular where they have a population of around 4-5k players at one given time which is actually really good.
it makes sense to have tbc and wotlk as classic servers. But cataclysm is concidered one of the worst if not the worst expansion by alot of people. And you can actually experience pretty much most of cata already.
If they will do a cataclysm server i do hope its before the dungeon nerfs because that was actually fun and challenging.
But honestly id rather have a MoP or even a WoD legacy server over a cataclysm one. I do hope they delete any trace of legion however. That expansion was far worse than WoD and Cataclysms worst aspects combined
I donât expect them to make Cata Classic, as it canât really fit into the Classic category of WoW given how much the overall gameplay and classes changed at that point. Iâm pretty sure itâs going to be vanilla-wotlk only. Iâd love to have Cata though - first expansion where I hit gladiator, even though it was on a private server only. =)
Actually Cata didnât have as many changes to the classes as everyone seems to remember, Pandaria changed up a lot more of the class gameplay. What we have now is a pruned version of the MoP skillset.
That is true to a degree, but that is when the overall gameplay pacing and flow started to change, leaning into faster paced, and somewhat cooldown reliant territory.
