Suggestion for class tweaking → Destruction Warlock → Remove the ‘choice’ between Inferno and Cataclysm or significantly buff Cataclysm. Right now I’d like to have both talents but Inferno is just so many times better than Cataclysm making it a pointless choice for M+ keys. The solution would be to allow both of them maybe with a slight nerf (rework the tree a bit) or to significantly buff Cataclysm to make it comparable to Inferno.
Idk you have never been able to have both of them for reasons on the shard gen.
Cata makes it super easy to generate shard on big packs while inferno makes ROF spam more possible.
They both have flaw and negetives that are opposite of each other.
Cata doesnt have sustained shard gen but can generate on moving packs easier than inferno.
Making both of them possible would mean one of them needs to stop generating shard which would make one of the talents alot worse than just a dps nerf.
I just dont think that in the current way classes are designed, espcially melees, applying Immolate or Agony one by one is just not salvageable. Even Ferals gets to AoE Rip and multi-target Rake with no cooldown limitation.
Cataclysm is useless everywhere. Inferno is useless everywhere except +20 upwards with competent tanks who pull big. Therefore, Inferno is better. In the second sentence, “inferno” can be replaced with “destruction warlock”.
I actually agree with that, i hate having to re apply dots on everyone.
It’s the reason why even though i liked voidform in legion, i didn’t like s priest aoe, or the reason why i refuse to not use vile taint on affliction.
It’s just unenjoyable gameplay.
Applying dots on one target is one thing, on multiple, no thanks.
